Honestly, I dont get it. He sounds like a high pitch voiced duck with a stuffy nose. He; cnat sing very good, and honest he doesnlt look too good either he looks like he wne tto bexcd with out drying his hair, and/or didnt wash it and it's still dirty. He;s a Birtish singer, who I would susually expect to be awesome, a British singer, but he's not, yes Youre Beautiful has a good beat to it and the lyrics are good, but he sounds whiny and just not evry good, yet people are like OMMG JAMES BLUNT ROOOOOOOOOCKS!!!!!!!!! Can't speak about his looks (do performers really have to be handsome to sell records???) or so much about his popularity (different strokes for different folks...) but he's very popular in England so I suppose he is being crossmarketed over here. Plus record sales are the slowest at this time of year, so that could have something to do with it.

The most interesting thing about his career is that You're Beautiful is #2 on the Hot 100, the highest ranking that an adult contemporary ballad with no kind of black music or American Idol connection has had in a very long time. I wish more songs in this style would do this well. They used to be a major part of the top 10 until the last 5 years or so. For him to go this high with his first single is even more noteworthy.

I WANT TO KNOW THE SAME THING!!!! Egads... I've only heard of his recent song, but based on that his voice sounds terrible. The lyrics are cliche and his looks and video aren't even appealing. He's got nothing going on that I can see, that would make him the success he is becoming.
