I never heard him say "Coumbian cumquat" and I believe the other one was "south-of-the-border *butts*", not broccoli. Usually the pot references involved Julio, not Rollo, since Fred always thought Julio was smuggling something into the country. He also saId "el jointo" once or twice and when Julio said "gracias" to Fred at the breakfast table, Fred replied - "no, we ain't got no grass, how about some shredded wheat?"

Yes. You're right about Julio, but I know he directed some of that at Rollo, who made it clear he was into it. One thing that was funny is when Julio told Fred "Guenos Noches" (spelling? for Good Night), he would respond with "Bones and Notches to you too". :lol:

There were also "Latin lettuce" and "Tijuana tea." And, of course, there was the 1974 episode where some herb (pot) was growing in the side yard and ended up in a salad. And these quotes:

Hoppy: "Oughtta be a crime for a salad to be this good." Rollo: "In some states it is."

I remember the Latin lettuce comment directed at Julio. Julio was such a cool (and HOT! :eyes:) guy - everything Fred said to him just rolled off his back.
