now that yesterday is over with, along with all the nice comments about this and that, from other sources

im ready for some trades

please note that no matter what rumors were spewed by unimformed sources

i HAVENT sold on EBAY for a long time

and I DONT SELL ON IOFFER,

and dont have any plans to return to either site

so i guess the " whore off things to ebay and ioffer" comemnts are just uninformed at best, and a down right fantasy in reality

im not here to debate the merits or otherwise values of public selling on ebay and ioffer

im tired of seeing that its even mentioned

if the idea of a trade with public sellers offends you, heres your chance to get into a huge list of a non ebay or ioffer seller

numerous others from ALL net trade boards are active ebay and ioffer sellers, most under fake names

i swear you would be astonished at who sells on these sites

many of the very people who post openly that its the work of the devil, are actualy public sellers with fake names

i dont care if you sell or whatever, im still avaible to trades, its none of my concern what you do

further, im not associated with any other person or persons,

im in my own special little world

i dont have an exclusive--elite--group that i will only deal with

what anyone else does, is not in any way, reflected on me

if jimmy or petey, or stinky243, makes a crap deal with you, its nothing to do with me what so ever

even if i traded with stinky243, a number of times, your dealings with stinky243, have nothing to do with me at all

i trade only for things i want

and ill not trade just for the exercise to doing something

so if you havent anything i would like to add, its not my fault

go get you something, i seem to put forth the effort to find things, anyone can , with some effort

i have added over 500 new discs in feb alone to my list

all items on my normal trade list are avaible for swaps

all items on my premium trade list are avaible in exchange for items of similar rarity

but if you want singles from me, you will need to fill in singles on my want lists as well

i make no exceptions to this idea

i have needs as well, just like you do

restatement of my trade rules

-----------------------------------------------------------------

ntsc only--period

plus or minus , either is fine

media, i only want name brand balnks, top quality, just like i provide

anyone is welcome to trade at my window, but if i dont know you, you will need to send first--period no exceptions--- im not donateing to the scammers retirement fund

any size movenments are avaible

send any trade lists of your items in THE VERY FIRST EMAIL

I'm not here to debate whether it's good/bad/right/wrong to sell either. And I'll admit I've purchased my fair share of shows. BUT, I know up until recently you DID sell alot on Ioffer. (Again, I'm not saying this is good or bad - just making a statement.) So to claim this is "uniformed" and a "fantasy" is not accurate.

the comment was made YESTERDAY--that loren whores off things to ebay and ioffer

i didnt have anything on there yesterday

the day before

the day before that

the previous day

the day before the previous day

and so on

so yes the statement was totaly inaccurate

the uninformed part is because before a person opened their pie hole, they were too lazy to take a minute and check their facts, thus uninformed

if a person is going to name names, and tell stories, its their duty to be accurate

thats just part of being fair

have an opinion, by all means

but when you make statements, they need to be accurate

would you expect any less in a statement about yourself, that it be factual

of course not

just like you wouldnt want to get lumped in with any other traders-dealers, when they get taken to task over an action of theirs, or a less than wonderful trade, that you had nothing to do with

yes the sell or not sell is not at question in this post

many people feel that ebay and ioffer sellers are the devil

im jumping out and stateing that i dont sell on either, anymore

and if you choose not to deal with me for that reason, i stopped

no not a debate over right or wrong to sell

just giving a chance to get some things from my list, as a non ebay or ioffer seller

heres a chance for anyone, to send a list and perhaps to make a trade

my needs change all the time

if you tried before

perhaps today would be a better day

hint, i dont want a set of the smurfs, and dont be the next one in a long line of perople to try and trade me a 29 disc set of batman

but when you make statements, they need to be accurate

My point exactly. To reiterate, I'm not debating the selling issue. In fact, since I never sell, if I encounter someone who wants something from my list & has nothing to trade for it & is willing to purchase, I will refer them to someone who does sell.

A quick Google search shows on Ioffer you sold "Lazarus Man" & "Two And A Half Men" on Feb 11, 2006, "New York Undercover" on Feb 9, 2006, "Gunsmoke" on Feb 9, 2006, "Hart to Hart" on Feb 9, 2006, another "Gunsmoke" on Feb 7, 2006, etc. If you sell, fine. If you don't sell, fine. I'm not defending this person or any of their claims, especially, since I don't know who it is. But to claim the statement "Loren [sells] off things to Ebay & Ioffer" is "totally inaccurate" and a "fantasy" just because you stopped within the past eleven days is not only splitting hairs, it's unfair on your part.

The more you have, the less you need.

Shrug, it is the curse of trading.
Evenutally you will get most of what you want or need- and at that time you become more selective.

I say no to trades every day.

Not because I am rude, not because I am better- but because I have a lot of things-And sometimes I dont have the money or time to trade for things if I think I might not get to them or use it.

It is nice to share, don't get me wrong- but being a trader- even a well known or large inventoried trader doesn't obligate you to trade.

If someone says no, it's best not to take it personally.

As far as selling/buying

Look lets cut the *r*p
Sometimes people buy becuase they have nothing to trade.
Sometimes it is easier.
Sometimes peopel sell to make extra cash, or they prefer the cash for media and inventory items compared to what someone might have.
Sometimes it is just the good almighty dollar.

Most people know who the sellers are, but no one is ever "forced" to buy.
And if you choose to buy you choose to take the same risk as when you trade.
You lose time and money either way, so checking your sources is always good regardless of which transaction you are doing.

Unfortunately in trading just as in any area of life, some peopel will like you some wont-

And some that don't don't handle things correctly-

Don't let it get you down.

If i listened to every negative thing said about me, or to me- I'd have jumped off a bridge by now.

was yesterday feb 6, 7 or 11 as you quoted

of course not, it was the 22nd

and since i stopped selling on ioffer, 8 days ago

any futher comments that i sell,

current tense of the word,

and whore off, current tense of the word

then those statements are 100% false

and whomever made then is remiss in his obligations to post an accurate statement

i hope thats plain enough to understand easily

now as far as my comment being misleading, oh no sir

if someone says jimmy plays for the redsox

and jimmy retired last week

then the statement that jimmy plays for the red sox is false

and the person who stated it is uninformed

the person didnt do any fact checking

since jimmy has retired

jimmy played for the redsox is a correct statement

same thing here

since i no longer do the act i was blasted for

then to state it in the current tense is false, inacurate, and a fllat out fabrication

as i stated in the first place

Is it 3 months already that we get to have the To sell or not to
sell debate?

needless to say loren is open for trades. makes me want to hunt
something that he wants just to pick off his list.

The rest of this conversation seems to be just a little above he said
she said.

I'm not even a heavy trader or buyer and I completly agree with everything you said. Sometimes I wonder why people trade when they already have so much stuff. But I got what you meant when you said, you just become more selective.

It is nice to share, don't get me wrong- but being a trader- even a well known or large inventoried trader doesn't obligate you to trade.

I agree. Your not even obgligated to trade even if you have less to nothing to trade. No one forces anyone to do anything. I never take anything personally, when someone says no, I just move on and find someone else willing to set up trade with me.

i guess it all is whats on a list

garsh havent i said that like 43 times now

i dont care how many discs one has, its what some of them are

i get a little tired of the same old set of the smufs, and tired movies that i get on direct tv for free anyhow, and retails of buffy and angel, and the 14th person trying to send me a batman set that i have turned down every time

go out and get some stuff, and you will be too busy makeing trades, to whine about it on the boards that jimmy or stinky243 will not trade with you,

and no its not impossible, i find new stuff every week, you gotta go and put in some effort

My collection dates back to the late 1970s (my oldest actual tape is from 1978), and I never expect that someone is going to find something on my list. Of course, my trade list is only a fraction of my collection - maybe 10% in fact, with the other 90% still on tape and not ready to trade on disc. If I'm looking to trade with someone, I'm always pleasantly surprised when they can find something they want on my trade list. It's not uncommon, though, that I don't have anything the person wants, because they've gotten to the point of their collection where there are only a few esoteric things they're looking for. My want list is getting smaller by the day, and while I don't think I'll ever reach the point where there will be nothing I want, the still-missing shows are generally tough to find.
