Saturday Night Live will air on March 18th. Essentially it was assumed that it would be preempted for the WWE Saturday Night Main Event. Instead that will air in prime time on March 18th. Saturday Night Live will air as schedule.
With SNL being preempted for three weeks for the Olympics, enough is enough with the preemptiong. I am glad to hear that it will not be preempted again.

NBC isn't going to replace "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" with "SATURDAY NIGHT'S MAIN EVENT", as they did on a monthly basis in the '80s. THAT, I believe, was
originally Brandon Tartikoff's idea. Unless the network is SO desperate for ratings and demographics, don't look for late-night wrestling on Saturdays on NBC....yet.
In the mid to late 80's, pro wrestling particully the WWF was a hot item. That is the not case in 2006.

Very true. Back in the 80s, from 85-89, the WWF was fantastic. With such greats like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Andre The Giant, and The Ultimate Warrior, and Roddy Piper, it did great ratings. and again from Late 1997-2000, with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Mick Foley, Triple H, and The Undertaker.
But nowadays, wrestling is not as much of a hot commodity as it was before, with Triple H, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio. But I have a feeling another 'boom' period could possibly be in store for the now WWE in the next couple years.
(BTW, if you haven't already noticed by the plethora of knowledge I have, I've been a fan of wrestling ever since I was born. I grew up with it, my older brother started watching it in 89. Throughout the years, via the internet, videotapes, television, and my own memory from being a small child, I have become a wrestling guru. It's my passion.)
