View Full Version : Charlie Robinson on "Cold Case"
nitcrt1 02-21-2006, 01:07 PM Did anyone else catch Charlie Robinson on "Cold Case" Sunday night? He still looks the same except with a little gray. He was very good. He played one of the suspects in a murder. He ended up as the killer, but only because he was forced to be. It was a good episode. Very sad.
judgestone 02-21-2006, 01:38 PM No I didnt I missed that I dont hardly watch anything on national network there arent anything good all three network that used to be on tv on Sunday. Speaking of Charlie Robinson. Is Bumper Robinson relate to Charlie? Just wondering.
Have a good day
McFly121 02-21-2006, 04:02 PM Too bad I didn't catch that. Though it was fun to spot Charlie in a cell phone commercial last year. He was chasing his daughter's date through an alley in his car, and I was like "It's Mac!" :)

Nope. No relation between Bumper and Charlie.

Well, when I started watching "Cold Case" Sunday, they usually give you the guest credits in the beginning. When I saw "Charlie Robinson", I was thinking 'get out he's in this.' So, I had to keep watching to find out. Sure enough it was him. He really didn't change much at all. I think now poor Harry is the worst looking of the bunch, although I don't know what Marsha looks like now. I've seen everyone else and they look great. I still love Harry though.

Well I missed it, I'm not really into these 'modern' shows. But I do watch on occassion, and does depend on the show. Would have liked to seen it since Charlie was in it.
And I know what you mean about Harry, but be nice. (lol) And I saw him in that recent photo from Saturday's newspaper (NY Times) and he doesn't look so bad to me.
I have seen some later shots of Markie, but I'd love to see some real recent shots of her, though.
judgestone 02-21-2006, 08:44 PM Harry doenst look too bad he just very tired from what I can see on his both eyes and he just need get some sleep I think know why he look that way or I know that he smokes camel that for sure that problay where it came from. But I still love Harry no matter what he look like. I havent seen Markie update photo for 2005-2006 think she retired from show business? I think Markie smoke too.
nitcrt, thank you for the answer about Bumper and Charlie
nitcrt1 02-21-2006, 10:23 PM Don't get me wrong guys. This gal is still all about Harry. There are just certain pictures where he doesn't look at his best and others where he looks great. I just wasn't crazy about the NY Times shot. He looked good in the CNN stuff though. I still love him!
ClassicTVGal 02-22-2006, 01:41 AM Oh I know you are. :) I didn't mean too much by it, sorry. You just gotta love Harry. :D (lol)
Scoobiedoo30 02-22-2006, 02:00 AM I wish I could have seen Charlie Robinsion on Cold Case
The Last Thing I saw Charlie on TV was Home Improvement.
I hear ya, Nitcrt1. That NY Times shot gave a lot of us a scare, lol. But I still love Harry too.
I saw a little bit of that Cold Case episode with Charlie. He was Great!!
McFly121 02-22-2006, 04:52 PM I gotta give the "Worst Aging Award" to John. That white hair and grandfatherly face....a stunner. Like seeing how Ted Danson looks NOTHING like Sam Malone anymore.
I think it's more odd to see Harry older because he had that boyish thing for so many years on the show. I last saw him on one of those I love the 80s things, and he didn't look too bad. Just saggier I guess. It'll happen to all of us someday :)

I actually think John looks pretty good considering he's going to be 59 this year. I shock myself when I think of that because growing up Dan was one of my first TV crushes. It was only in the last couple of years that I found out that John's the same age as my dad!!!
I think we need to remember that Night Court ended 14 years ago and most of the cast was already in their 40's when it ended. It's strange because you watch these episodes from 20 years ago and you don't really stop to think that they have obviously aged like everyone else. Heck 20 years ago I was 9 years old. I can tell you I don't look the same. I think, for the most part, the cast hasn't aged as badly as people say.
nitcrt1 02-23-2006, 01:30 PM I agree. John does look good. I don't mind the white hair at all. I think he looks good with it. It's very distinguished looking. I know how you feel about John as your first TV crush. Harry was mine. I carried a picture of him with me to band camp as a good luck charm. My band director found it and showed it to everyone. I was mortified.
You're correct about the time frame. I think for many of us, myself included, remember when the show was still airing. For as long as it's been, it never feels that way to me sometimes. I still have that last episode and how they all looked in it etched in my mind. Some were in their forties or close to it when the show ended. It is funny watching these episodes from 20 years ago, forgetting that they've aged. I don't look the same either. I was only 7. Of course, I'm short so I still look like a teenager. As for me, overall I think everyone from the show still looks pretty darn good after all these years. I think I was only surprised by Harry's appearance currently because of a picture on "The One and Only Harry Anderson Fan" site. The picture is from when he turned 50 (which was only three years ago) and he looked to me exactly the same as he did 14 years ago. It was kind of interesting how he'd changed from that picture which was ony three-years-old.I still love his personality and his zest for life. It all goes back to that saying, "You're as young as you feel." My parents are in their early 60's and they act like kids sometimes. (LOL) They don't look their ages either. People think they're younger than they are. So, I say...hats off to our still good looking "Night Court" bunch who I'm sure have never had plastic surgery. (haha!)
