All in the Family (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=31) is my all-time favourite sitcom. It really had it all, great cast, scripts, relevancy, realism...you name it, it rules.

Boy meets world

I like may shows too, but this one stands out. There is no other show with characters more likeable -and maybe even loveable- than this one. All characters are very well explored and are very three-dimensional and believeable. Plus, 'Boy meets world' provides an ideal world with ideal people and ideal friendships and ideal families. It's nice to escape this saddening world with such a show.

The first 2 seasons of Sanford and Son are, in my opinion, laugh out loud hilarious no matter how many times I watch them (and damn near flawless IMO)

A runner up is the first 3-4 seasons of The Andy Griffith Show. Good characters and very well written.

Mostly my TV viewing is documentaries and hockey, but, as far as current sitcoms go, it's "Corner Gas", without a doubt
