For some reason my speaker isnt working and i know that my speakers arent broken. And of course i know if the volume is turned up or not and i checked both and that wasnt the proble. Would anyone know whats wrong?

i know this sounds dumb, but make sure they're plugged in.

Check in the 'Audio' control panel if the speakers are on 'MUTE';( mine does that all the time)..If they are just uncheck the box, if that doesn't fix it you'll have to reinstall them.

okay do you know where i go to audio control panel. And if i do have to reinstall them how do i do that?

- open the Control Panel on the Settings menu on the Start Menu

- Select Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices

- Select Adjust the System Volume

make sure the speakers and wave device arent muted, and that the volume isnt set too low

click Start, click Settings, and then click Control Panel

open Sounds and Multimedia, and then click the Audio tab.

click the Volume button under Sound Playback.

Remove all checkmarks from Mute boxes at the bottom of the Master Volume window and adjust the volume setting slide bars

Hmm for some reason its not letting me click on the check marks so i can put the sound back on?

looks like there is a conflict or something corrupted in your audio setup, you could try to reinstall the drivers, or reset the multimedia settings

go back to the Control Panel, but this time double click on Add/Remove Programs and click on the Windows Setup tab......Scroll thru this list and find Multimedia and double click on it and put a check beside "Volume Control"....and reboot

reinstalling the driver may be more complicated - what type of computer do you have? - do you still have driver disks for it?

I dont think i still have the disk for it though.
