Well, my gf knows me pretty well. She knows what kinds of things I like, and she knows how to shop for me.

For Valentine's Day, I can usually expect it to be something at least related to romance, and related to...well, you know where I'm heading with that.

So it could be some kind of underwear that she wants to see me in, or some new cologne, or...other items that I won't go into detail about on this family oriented forum.

2) Back then, if I warned someone, they could recruit their buddies to swarm all over me. That's now against the rules. I remember I would issue a simple warning, and then find myself fending off half the board, defending myself for pages and pages.

I had no protection. Thank God, those days are over.

That sort of crap would fly for about 30 seconds at any other reputable message board.

It depends. I ban trolls that spam the boards all the time. I can suspend regular members, but not ban them.

It says BANNED under the names now only because I haven't figured out how to use the Suspend feature or even if I have access to it. I've been confused about that. TJ changes it form Banned to Suspended for me.

It's pretty pathetic the way some people are throwing little tantrums around here. All these newbies, and even the established S.O.er's who are crying about this and that, need to realize that these boards aren't there's, and they need to follow the damn rules. If you look at all these people who are whining and complaining, all of them were suspended for good reasons, and anybody else who would have done what they did, would have been suspended as well. I totally agree with everything you've said here. I can't believe I actually attempted to be friends with some of those people. Had I known they were going to treat Janice like this, I never would have even made that attempt. Anyways, thanks for having the guts to say something that I didn't have the guts to say myself. Basically, it just seems that those of us who have made mistakes, learn from them, and some of us even apologize on the forums for our behavior, but then it seems that one person can say and do alot and cause turmoil.

It was completely uncalled for, Janice said he was warned for saying the B word...but it wasn't his first or last attack. yet he it STILL around. the thing that is ruffling peoples feathers is the fact that when people do complain about him, Janice says to mind their own buisiness....and just lets him skate by. I personally find it disgusting that this person thinks that women who have no uterus' IS A FUNNY THING. This person is not wanted here and is only here to cause trouble. It takes a whole group of people to finally stand up and say "We are avoiding the situation because of one person". Is this person worth it? I don't think so.

On that thread in question, Bobby's name was brought into the thread by Irene. Nobody had a problem with that. When Bobby brought Hung Up's name, he was ragged on for two pages, as if he murdered someone. I reprimanded Bobby and told members to stop.

Of course, it went on and on for pages and pages again, with Bobby being called every name in the book. Hung Up was NOT ganged up on. Bobby made a sarcastic remark and not even a bad one. That was no attack.

Bobby was the one who was ganged up upon. He had members all over him. Anyone who reads that thread with a fair mind can see that.

Again, just because a certain inner circle here doesn't like Bobby, you guys don't speak for everyone. I know many people who like him.

We don't run people off the boards here. If Hung Up had simply reported that post, none of this would have happened. Instead, he chose his usual course of ripping into a person, buddies in tow, for backup.

It doesn't work that way. If anyone had ganged up on Hung Up, I would have stepped in too. I don't allow gangups. I've stopped plenty of them in the past.

In the future, use the Report Post feature. If Bobby is the big bad wolf that everyone claims he is, report him. I'll bet anything that he doesn't post anything worse than a lot of members do. I also think that's why nobody reports his posts.

When a post is reported, action is usually taken. So, report any offensive posts. It's quite simple, but I guess gangups are more fun for some.
