Hi all,

This seems like a cool place. Just wonderring what you good people think I should check out from the current crop of shows being made.

My current favourite shows are all very dark dramas/comedy's and mainly from the HBO channel.

Drama
Six Feet Under - funeral home
Shield - bent cops
Sopranos - mafia
OZ - prison (still playing for the first time in Australia)

Comedy
Curb Your Enthusiasm
The Office
All time favourite - Larry Sanders Show

As you can see, very black. I tried Arrested Development but it didn't grab me, same with stuff like Prison Break, CSI, OC, Law and Order. I found them all a bit soft.

I thought I may try out the new Chris Rock show, The Wire and the new show on the women President when they all arrive in Aus in a few months time. Do you think they would be to my liking? Any other recomendations?

I agree about "My Name is Earl". It's a GREAT show!:lol:

Unfortunately, it's on against "C.S.I." over her, and I can't record on our VCR, or my DVD player/recorder.

Have you tried Desperate Housewives? It's a dark comedy.

Ever since discovering Buffy The Vampire Slayer last summer, I always recommend it. I am really not a big fan of Drama's, but this show is absolutley amazing! BONES is a show definitely not for the squeamish. But I think it is one of the best crime dramas to come along in years. It is on the Fox network Wednesday
nights at 9:00 p.m. David Boreanaz (of BUFFY and ANGEL) is one of the stars.

Veronica Mars & One Tree Hill.Both shows have hot girls in them:D
