He sure liked it. In one episode he mixed it with something and called it "champipple," and in the "Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe" episode he told Grady that Ripple and cream was "Cripple," then said it drink it you'll walk funny.

He then said that straight Ripple is "Stripple."

That's Champaign and Ripple, he calls it Champipple. I remember that I couldn't wait to turn 21 so I could try it, when I did they stopped making the stuff. Now I'll never know what it tasted like. btw that episode is one of my favorites, and TVland butchered it completely. I'm glad I have the uncut dvd releases. They edited out the 'N' word when Aunt Esther stood up to Grip.
