I never see any boxing threads on here. I guess there aren't many boxing fans on here. I love boxing, but I haven't watched or followed much boxing over the years. For one the pay-per-view rates are high. I know Muhammad Ali was the greatest, Mike Tyson was the baddest. But, my favorite boxer of all time was Larry Holmes. He wasn't the greatest, or he wasn't the baddest, but I just liked watching him. I used to watch him all the time in the early 80s. I thought he was the baddest until I saw Tyson knock him out in '88. Damn!

I used to be a boxing fan. I haven't watched a fight in a long time. The last fight i saw was Mike Tyson against some no name dude who knocked his ass out quick LOL. My bad. The last fight i saw was Roy Jones against some dude with the last name Tarver. Tarver beat Roy. Roy looked tired and scared during the fight and he usually doesn't look that way because he's beaten a lot of dudes. Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Evander Holyfield are my favorite boxers. Riddick Bowe wasn't that bad either. I remember when Church's Fried Chicken used to do commercials for the fight LOL. I used to have a big cup from Church's to put soda or juice in that had Sugar Ray and Marvin on the cup. GarfieldKool remember when In Living Color tv show did a skit of Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray, Muhammad Ali making fun of the movie Three Men And A Baby? Keenan Ivory Wayans was Mike Tyson, Tommy Davidson was Sugar Ray and David Alan Grier was Muhammad Ali. That was a funny skit. Keenan sounded just like Mike LOL. Muhammad Ali's daughter Laila Ali is a hottie and she's single now. She got a divorce not too long ago. I wish i could get with her LOL. She's a very good fighter like her dad. I was watching a Pistons game awhile ago and Tommy Hearns was at the game. One of the ESPN analysts spoke to Tommy and he said he's gonna be fightin some dude soon. I shook my head because Tommy needs to sit his old ass down LOL. He can barely talk LOL.

I vaguely remember the Sugar Ray and Marvin Hagler fight. But I do remember that skit on In Living Color you are talking about. LOL Keenan did do a good impersonation of Mike. Churches Fried Chicken, they left this area in the mid-80s.

I love boxing!! along with basketball, it's my favorite sport. I follow it pretty good, and know who most of the main fighters are. My very favorite current fighter is James Toney. I don't know what it is about him, but I just think he has the potential to be great. Some other current fighters I like are: Vladimir Klitschko, Vitaly Klitschko, Mani Pacquiao, Ricky Hatton, Kostya Tszyu, Marco Antonio Barrera, Arturo Gatti, Floyd Mayweather, and Bernard Hopkins. All of these guys have had some really nice fights. My favorite fighter of all time though is George Foreman. Iv'e seen lots of films of his old fights, and I loved the way he use to intimidate, and then destroy his opponents. He's the man.

Anyway, Iv'e brought up a few boxing threads on this board in the past, but nobody ever responds, so I don't do it much anymore. It's nice to know that there are other fans of the sport here as well.

I like boxing alot, but I refuse to shell out 50 + bucks for a ppv. Arturo Gatti had some classic bloody wars with Mickey Ward. I use to like Roy Jones Jr., but he is way past his prime right now. Antonio Tarver is a great fighter.

I love and still do love boxing, but things have definitely changed over the last twenty or so years. I remember when you could see your favorite fighters on ABC, CBS, or NBC, every Saturday or Sunday. Plus, you had 15 round title fights and just two title organizations.Now everything is pay-per-view and the heavyweight division is horrible.In additions, fighters are being hyped up way too quickly.Zab Judah is a perfect example of this. However, I will be paying close attention when he fights Floyd Mayweather Jr. on April 8.

I have put a thread with the question who uses boxing as a workout. I do and I love the sport. It is a fun sport to do with friends. It's a good way to work off stress and the art of fist to fist combat is fun especially if it's competitive. Let's hear some feedback on this subject.
