Classic Sitcom Stars who should have gotten there own show?

Stars that played a co star or side character that did so good they should have gotten there own show(not nessicarilly{sp?} a Spin off)?

1 that comes right to mind is Laurie Metcalf. After Roseanne had ended she should have got her own show after 9 years of playing one of the best charcters on tv you couldn't go wrong. It didn't even have to be a spinoff she just diserved to have her own show in my opinion

Richard Dawson. If for no othern reason than to appease me. :snob: Plus I think he was underrated as a comic actor. Or a dramatic actor.

I've always thought that Lenny & Squiggy from "Laverne & Shirley" should have received their own series. They were very funny together and stole every scene they were in. When "L&S" moved to Hollywood from Milwaukee, they tried to pass themselves off as Hollywood talent agents. That would have been an interesting storyline that they could have used while making the spinoff. I believe it would have been a big hit, not as big as "Frasier" but better than "Joey".

Ann's neighbor Jerry, on That Girl. The great Bernie Kopell he was another good comic actor who was also underrated during the 60's.
