Most of the Episodes in Archie Bunker's Place the Complete First season are unedited as far as I can tell running almost 25 minutes each. Unfortunately Archie’s New Partner Part 1 is edited and is missing this dialogue I have posted on my site http://archiebunkersplace.netfirms.com/archiesnewpartnermissingaudio.htm (http://archiebunkersplace.netfirms.com/archiesnewpartnermissingaudio.htm)It was also missing from the syndicated version of this episode that I recorded off WPSG in Philadelphia in 1998 but was included as part of TV Land’s version of the episode in 2002.

I noticed some dialogue missing from the Thanksgiving #1 episode that resurfaced in the part 2 episode. It was when Mike was telling Archie why he was fired.

I never unstood why Sony could not have put the original CBS uncut hourlong vershions of "Archie's New Patrner" and "Thankgiving Reunion" insted of the two part vershions. I hope Sony considers using the hourlong CBS vershions of "Arche Alone" and "Gloria Comes Home" when they make the season Two and Three DVDs insted of using the two part vershions.

I hope so as well. I like to see how things are originally aired.
