Even though Tony Shalhoub is funny as Monk and has won two well deserved Emmys for it. It bugs me that they put it as a comedy. You don't normally have a comedy about murders.

Comedy With Drama: The Wonder Years

Drama With Comedy: Freaks & Geeks

I would say that each of these shows could go either way.

I sometimes feel that The Wonder Years IS a drama with comedy, despite being only a half hour.

And I sometimes feel that Freaks and Geeks is a comedy, though very dramatically structured and an hour long.

Both are deep rooted in reality and I don't know how one can be a sitcom and not the other.

They are both dramedies for lack of a better term.

Drama with Comedy: Adam-12 (yes, there were plenty of funny moments in it)

I can't think of a Comedy.
