View Full Version : What normal life activity do you absolutely HATE?

Alright, so I was actually just thinking about this in the shower, and thought it'd be a fun thread to bring up here.

For example, the one thing I HATE more than anything is grocery shopping--I simply cannot stand it. It's not the act of shopping that annoys me, it's the environment. For instance, it seems like anytime you go besides 2 in the morning always seems to be more crowded than I'd like. People block the aisles with their carts, stand around talking, walk WAY too slowly when they're directly in front of you in a narrow aisle...the list goes on. It drives me up a wall. I also hate it when you're coming out of an aisle with your cart, and you KNOW this will happen so you try to be cautious, but it happens anyway: somebody is always going across the middle aisle, and they always nearly hit you with their cart. UGH!! It wouldn't bother me one bit to have somebody do all of my grocery shopping for me from now until the end of time.

Ahhhh, pet peeves!!! lol

I love my grocery store, I don't have that problem since they remodeled their store. It is so huge and nice. Sorry you have that aggravation brother!

I hate doing the laundry. Not the washing or drying, but the folding of clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I...have no idea what in the world you're trying to say there.

And yeah, I don't like doing laundry either, but that's just more tedious to me than anything. Grocery shopping actually aggravates me and makes me angry when I do it. I have to yell at people in my head to make myself feel better. Like, one day when there's some guy just dawdling in front of me and walking slower than any human should possibly walk, I just want to be like "MOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah, that would make me feel better. :rotflmao:

OMG, you're so right about Wal-Mart. I enjoy the store, but sometimes I just hate the experience of being there. I swear to you, I don't think I've ever been in a Wal-Mart one time in my life that wasn't at least reasonably crowded. Regardless of state, time of day, area it's located in, etc. they're ALWAYS busy!!

Ironing. I always try to avoid it at ALL costs. pissed:

Cleaning the bathroom (especially the toilet and the shower).

Taking out the trash. The dumpster recepticles at my apartment complex are not near my door, so I have to travel to opposite side of the building and across the complex just to take out my trash. I often just tie up my bag(s) and leave them outside my front door so I can walk over and toss them when I have time. In fact, I just tossed six bags this morning after about 7-8 days of leaving them out there. Yes, I'm that lazy. I'm either not home or it's already too dark and creepy to walk out and throw them out.

GROCERY SHOPPING!!! I actually can't stand any type of shopping in general, but I think grocery shopping is the worst, probably because I worked for so long in one. The worst part for me is the crowds. I can be a very impatient person at times and I detest having to wait for some soccor mom yelling into her cell phone to move her cart so I can grab my cereal or (and Lord forgive me for saying this because I know this will be ME some 50 years from now <shudders>) some old person who takes their sweet time at the register and gripes to the cashier about the rising costs. I dealt with so many rude, lazy, stupid idiots when I worked at the grocery store that it's really made me lose a lot of faith in humanity.

I can't stand doing housework or paying bills either.

Don't be too anxious. My oldest daughter when she does them, she does a good job. BUT my 17 year old, forget it, she doesn't get all the food off, she leaves soap residue, she piles the dishes any old way in the rack and she doesn't remove the already dry dishes from the rack before putting another pile of dishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would tell my sister, I want a dishwasher, and she would tell me, "You already have two!!!!" (my daughters!) LOL No one can ever do housework the way you want them to. Except my oldest daughter, she is like me, she keeps things tidy and neat.

I agree with everyone about grocery shopping. A real pain sometimes. I also hate shaving my legs. I always end up cutting myself and always end up missing places. Now that we have 2 dogs I have to go out in the yard and pick up dog crap all the time. My husband tells me to leave it for him to get on the weekend but if i wait around it piles up and I end up stepping in it. I love the dogs, I just wish they could crap somewhere else.

Well, if you'd at least be kind enough to give them a NEWSPAPER...

...then maybe they'd have something to read while they're in the bathroom!

That's why I dont like shopping all the time. Its not a store, it's a zoo. I hate it in ANY store when they have like a jillion people and only like 3 or 4 checkout lanes open. The environment can really, really suck. I agree about Wal Mart.

I remember when I was about 12/13 and my mom would tell me that before I went to bed that I had to have the dishes washed. And if I forgot she would wait until I was good and sleep, like in a deep sleep. And it would be about 3 in the morning and she would wake me up (not in a good way either) and make me go and do the dishes. She hates it, when people do things half assed. So I learned my listen after a few rude wakeup calls LOL.

Yeah me too!!! I guess it runs in the family! but seriously, I hate those two places. I mean, if I need stamps, I will buy them in bunches so I don't have to go so soon. Or I will use my sister's postal machine at her work, or I will send my daughter, but unless I need to absolutely do something, then I have no choice.

The gas station. My girls are always ragging on me because I let my SUV get to empty and I will still avoid going to the gas station. I hate it, I absolutely hate going to the gas station. I will fill up the tank and enjoy not having to go. I dread it!!!!!
