"Tutti-Frutti Ice Cream" - only Ozzie Nelson would go out late at night searching the town for some Tutti-Frutti Ice Cream. An all time NELSON CLASSIC!

Hi, Everyone!

One of my favorite episodes is entitled "Making Wally Study" from 1962. When Wally's grades start to slip, his fraternity brothers encourage him to hit the books a little more. So Wally asks Rick to watch his girlfriend (Ginger) for him and naturally she starts to take a liking to him. Rick treats Ginger like a real lady while escorting her around - treatment that she generally doesn't get from Wally.

Well, Ginger takes Wally back at the end anyway. As for Rick, he spots a pretty girl at a drive-in theater and tells Wally & Ginger that he has to do a little "studying" himself. She's none other than Lori Saunders ( who 3 years later would play the role of Bobbie Jo Bradley on "Petticoat Junction"). It's an entertaining episode and Wally always adds a lot to just about every episode in which he appears!

"Ricky the Drummer" is my favorite followed by "Ballerina". I don't like Kris, or her acting, but the dream dance sequence was good.

In "Ricky the Drummer", Rick got to show off his singing and dancing.

Does anyone remember the episode where Ozzie paints the house an odd color that the neighbor don't like?
He ends up repainting it red and white striped to get back at them, and ends up confusing air traffic.
But I don't remember what his original choice of color was.
Anyone remember?

That episode is called "Waiting For Joe" and its also one of my favorites. Another favorite of mine is where Ozzie is babysitting and finds the boys slot-racer and he and Joe play with it and think they break it and try to replace it without the boys parents finding out.

the episodes with Lorrie Collins and one where Rick wears an emerald smoking jacket. Anyone know what volume numbers these are in, or if they are available?

I'd like to see "Our Man in Alaska" also.

I've always liked A Ball Of Tinfoil. There are too many episodes to narrow down to just one favorite.

My Favorite is 'The Drummer',howerver I am a UFO Investigator in Pa snce 1995 and I enjoyed the one called ... 'OZZIE AND THE SPACE AGE'
From 1-28-59. That's the year I went into the Air Force and had my first sighting of a UFO.

The plot:
The Bijou Theater offers $1000 for someone who can get a picture of a flying saucer. Darby and Doc Williams trick Ozzie into posing with a camera, bat, and umbrella so they can get his picture in the newspaper as a gag. Rick suggests he could toss a saucer that he got from the kitchen across the yard and Ozzie could get a picture of it. So Darby and Doc Adams are with Ozzie as he takes a picture of the flying saucer. But they discover to their amazement Rick didn't throw the saucer.
……………
David was a UFO buff all his life.

Gosh, that's a hard one. I have 108 eps and at least 12 of them are just awesome. My two absolute favorites are "Fraternity Pin" and "David and The Teenager" .

The MADACY MUSIC GROUP, INC. (Quebec, CANADA) puts out two sets of great VHS episodes. (8 eps in all). While my experience with them is very hit and miss with other TV CLASSICS , with O & H they did an absolutely fantastic job.

I highly recommend the sets!

That's hard, there are so many. But one would be " The Record breaking Trout " ep. Ozzie and Darby argue who should take credit for this huge catch. The person who caught it at first, or the person who later reeled it in. Everybody gets involved in one side or the argument or another. Oz and Darb have the whole committee at the Sportsman's club yelling at each other across the table and taking sides before it's over. Joseph Kerns ( Later Mr.Wilson from " Dennis The Menace " )makes an appeance as a committee member. The episode has a great ending also. This was a great example of taking a simple premise and turning it into something big. Great writing and acting all together.

Tutti-Frutti, of course. But I also always liked that episode where Ozzie decides he's going to spend the entire day in bed. Everyone thinks he's sick, and the lodge sends that depressing guy who eats all of Ozzie's fruit! He misses a doubleheader and a big truck accident outside. Great memories of an episode where nothing much happens!

LOL! And that depressing guy keeps calling him "Brother Nelson".

I love "Ricky the Drummer", "Kris, the Little Helper" (is that right?), as well as the one with Barry Livingston, when his mom is having a baby and he stays with the Nelsons. Don't know the name of it but it's adorable! You gotta love the writing in this episode:

Harriet to Rick and Dave: "Now Barry is coming to stay with us so you boys mind your manners because he'll do everything you do."
Dave: "Yeah, he might look pretty silly shaving before breakfast"
Harriet: (with that serious MOM look): "You know what I mean!"

ROTFL!!

Also, the hayride one when Oz and Joe trick Harriet and Clara into thinking they are NOT taking them on a hayride but playing poker instead when actually, they are planning this romantic hayride all along. My favorite line:

Ozzie: "Harriet, I feel like I'm going to get lucky..."
Harriet: "I take it you're referring to the poker game tonight."

I bust a gut everytime I see that eppy!

I certainly love watching "The Tangled Web" over and over as well as "June and the Lamp"--that one has a nice quiet charm, plus Dave and June just sizzle! ;)
