The Best Comedy In Your Opinion That Won An Emmy (1965-Today)?

too hard to choose, there's like five shows on the list I'd choose, I can't pick just one. Those would be Seinfeld, Golden Girls, Ally McBeal, Sex And The City and Taxi

All In The Family hands down although theirs a few up there I like.

Friends all the way... Considering it is my favourite show EVER!

Also I didn't know that Ally McBeal & Murphy Brown won Emmys. That's pretty cool...

between Dick Van Dyke, M*A*S*H and All in the Family as my choices I would say All In teh Family was the funniest for more episodes.

Friends was groundbreaking, but Cosby slightly more. I voted Cosby. Love it or hate it, Friends was consistently funny though.

I voted for the Mary Tyler Moore Show. However, I love Cheers, Taxi, Seinfeld, The Golden Girls, Sex & The City, All In the Family, and Frasier too.

It's a really hard decision between Mary Tyler Moore, Friends and Golden Girls.

I meant in terms of worldwide popularity. Shown everywhere and loved by everybody. That sort of groundbreaking.

There was nothing special or groundbreaking about Friends. It was just Seinfeld with two extra main characters and a lot less humor.

Anyway, I voted for MASH. That show is brilliant.

Personally Friends had me laughing a heck of alot more than Seinfeld. And I am a big fan of Seinfeld. Friends also often had good dramatic storylines, which is more than I can say about Seinfeld.

I'm a huge fan of both "Friends" and "Seinfeld" and all they really had in common was being a fast-paced sitcom about New Yorkers who didn't have much going on in their lives. Beyond that, they had completely different styles of humor and storytelling, and "Seinfeld" focused more on the minutae of everyday life while "Friends" focused on what it was like being a twentysomething.

As far as the poll... I think I'm gonna have to give the edge to "Arrested Development." Funnier than any other sitcom I've ever watched.

It was really hard for me to pick just one, but I went along with Cheers.

If I had to pick one series, I would say The Golden Girls. This show was brilliant, it made me laugh!

The Golden Girls is pretty good. It always makes me crack up.

I would say The Cosby Show.

M*A*S*H totally deserved every Emmy. Hilarious and dramatic, it raised the bar for good t.v.:)
