View Full Version : Memories of Moonlighting
kismet 02-08-2006, 03:05 PM This is a special feature.
It has Glenn on the left, Bruce in the middle, and Cybill on the right.
Bruce opens it by saying something like:
"Can I just say something before we get started? It's been awhile since the Big 3s been together, you know."
Glenn in one of his typical shirts.
Bruce in a hat, jeans, black leather jacket.
Cybill in a red top/pants.
Cybill looks much better this time around. She looked like she didn't feel so good last time on the seasons 1 and 2 DVDs.
I'm not talking plastic surgery either. She just looks great on this season 3 featurette.
kismet 02-08-2006, 03:23 PM I just heard this:
Bruce -- "Let's get to the meat of the stuff. The sex."
Cybill -- "Here's the meat right here, honey." as she gestures towards Bruce.
laura a 02-08-2006, 04:14 PM I just heard this:

Cybill -- "Here's the meat right here." as she gestures towards Bruce.
WOW ,this just gets BETTER and BETTER this goes way beyond my expectations. And we`ve got Cybill and Bruce sat together talking about sex too( how ever brief it maybe its good enough for me) , life doesn`t get much better than that!:happyface
kismet 02-08-2006, 04:41 PM Note - I had to add an extra "HONEY" to the meat quote.
One of the last lines said by Bruce: "Thank you for having sex..." in regards to the pregnancy but it sure seemed to me like it could be taken two different ways.
They then walk out, he puts his right arm around her shoulders and she puts her left arm around his back - they look kind of like they did when they walked away in Dream Sequence.
kismet 02-08-2006, 04:43 PM Very interesting to me:
They both call each other HONEY during this section.
Dutchie 02-08-2006, 05:10 PM *Starts singing* This will be, an everlasting love!
tralalalalala!!
Love it! :D
(B is on tv over here btw)
kismet 02-08-2006, 05:51 PM Something is "gnawin' at the base of my noggin'" about this get-together. I can feel it in my bones.
Cybill waits in anticpation at the end of it, like something really great is going to happen. Yes, Bruce does thank her for getting pregnant, but I truly feel that there was something more.
Does anyone else have this strange feeling?
The date is getting to me also. Jay says that he remembers the date of the pregnancy as September 17 (?). He's supposed to be a wiz at remembering the trivia. Why didn't someone correct it? They had a couple of months. Wasn't it recorded in September or October? Or maybe the date wasn't supposed to be fixed.
Yup, I can feel it in my bones.;)
laura a 02-08-2006, 06:59 PM Come on Kismet tell us what your getting at ! what are you thinking ,im dieing to know .If you want you can post it via the private messages. Hopefully when iv`e had a chance to watch mine i can give you my in put .BUT i think i know what your getting at though ,you just can`t say it
Dutchie 02-08-2006, 07:18 PM Wait, are you thinking what I'm thinking you're thinking?
hmm, okay now I confuzzled myself. PM me kis and fill me in :p
kismet 02-08-2006, 09:10 PM I don't know what I think. I do have a couple of theories but they are only theories. All I do know is I have one of my feelings, and I'm usually right.
I don't have access to my DVD player right now. I am going to re-watch it later, post the dialogue that happens at the end, and try to describe how they react to each other.
Since they don't mention Charles Rockett verbally (you do see a dedication to him), it seems to me that this probably was filmed prior to October 8 or so. It could have been a couple of days later though because no mention of Charles' death appeared until a week or so after he passed away.
bluevelvet 02-08-2006, 11:51 PM Kismet, please don't leave me out of the mix! I also want to know your theories. I might have a month to wait before I get my dvds - I have to know what you think.:D
adyjdy 02-09-2006, 12:55 AM I'll second that, Kismet! I'm very intrigued. Help a sister out! Dying of curiousity over here.
babyhayes 02-09-2006, 05:18 AM Like bluevelvet I'm waiting too. :( We want to know what you are all talking about! Please, Please, Please share your theories with your fellow fans!
I just heard this:
Bruce -- "Let's get to the meat of the stuff. The sex."
Cybill -- "Here's the meat right here, honey." as she gestures towards Bruce.
I love your details, Kis:)
Tell me all that you can!!!
I don't still get my DVD set, but when it will arrive me, will be more easy for me understand the commentaries with your help!
thanks

Thanks for the info ,it pretty much goes over and confirms what we both thought and discussed about before . I knew these dvds were going to be good but i didn`t expect any revelations to come out of it .GREAT ISN`T IT!
:)
veronika 02-10-2006, 03:24 PM Wooow Kis!
I agree with Luar. I love your details too :)
I still don't have my dvd so...please...write!!!
Thanks!
Love Veronika

Hi ,well iv`e just watch the Memories of Moonlighting segment for the THIRD time ( by the way i just die when Bruce takes Cybills hand in his and then thanks her for having SEX ,im sure Cybill blushes when he says that.I want to cover a few points again.
1 = I think Cybill is looking fantastic for her 55 years. She looks great in red.
2 = I think Bruce looks soooo SEXY he`s still got it even if he is 50+( he looks just like my hubby does now , not much hair- shaven head- and wearing a goatie beard)My very own Bruce Willis!
Now going back to this miss quoted pregnancy date thing , we have to be carefull on how we choose our words. Your right kismet though for some one very hot on getting dates of things right ,how did Jay get something that was sooo important wrong .Now if you listen to his commentary on Big Man On Mul.... he brings up again on when they find out about Cybills pregnancy only this time he says` February` .So WHY did he say` September `in the interview and HOW could he be so specific on the september date too(17th) It really intrigues me. Now i have another theory ! And what made Cybill `ill` in October of that same year that would have set back filming, surely it couldn`t have been the fact that she didn`t like how a certain scene should have been played like Jay said. Any thoughts folks?
I think we should all refer to Mark Harmon now as Mark `flippen Harmon .
Ohh i nearly forgot i love the not likeing being `tied up` comment Cybill makes and then Bruces face. That is such a naughty `knowing`smile,it makes you wonder what he`s thinking about when she says that.
I have only one complaint though (well actually two) 1:not enough of Cybill and Bruce talking and 2: they dont talk about the SEX for long enough ,I mean Bruce says lets get down to, it lets get to `the meat of it` but the camera cuts away from them and they dont go into any depth or detail, WHY!
But i still enjoyed watching it any way .PS liked when that guy (cant remember his name now, i think he was one of the producers) is talking about the banter between Maddie and David and says something like "when David and Maddie banter its sorta verbal sex ,its like they`re having a sexual experience"
CLASSIC!
laura a 02-10-2006, 08:28 PM Another thing i forgot to mention earlier was that did anyone notice that during the Glenn,Bruce and Cybill bits in one of segments when the camera is focussed on Glenn and he is talking you can hear Bruce and Cybill whispering to each other and giggling off camera. What were they talking about? ,can anyone make it out?
kismet 02-10-2006, 08:33 PM The person you are referring to is the director of Atomic Shakespeare, Will Mackenzie. Isn't he a total cutie pie? I loved listening to him -- he had such enthusiasm, plus he seemed like he was fair, not picking on certain people and how bad their behavior was -- finding valid reasons for certain behavior. He really impressed me the most of all the top brass that did their venting. Verbal sex -- how true!

I couldn't understand some of what was said either, especially on the Atomic Shakespeare commentary.
I was really disappointed that Bruce and Cybill are not featured all that much in this. I wish that they would have focused on them instead of having Glenn do so much of the talking. Bruce seemed a little reticent to talk, UNLESS it was about sex! Then he perked right up dramatically!!!
kismet 02-10-2006, 08:42 PM Laura a - what did you think of the ending? Did it leave you feeling like there may have been more to it or am I just crazeee? Do you think anything was cut out? or was that ALL it was supposed to be? There were editing cuts though. It wasn't done in one smooth shot. You could really tell that Cybill was waiting for something big.

YEAH I DO THINK SO and no i dont think you crazy.I did feel as though there was supposed to be more and maybe somethings were cut . The more i watch it the hairs on the back of my neck stand up on end ,Just love seeing Bruce and Cybill grace the screen together again, they are soul mates, kindred spirits They should be TOGETHER!
adyjdy 02-10-2006, 10:05 PM Maybe I'm stupid, but I'm still a little confused about what you two are talking about and it's gone from gnawin' at the base of noggin' to devouring my frontal lobe! (I sure wouldn't mind a private message kismet, laura a... nudge nudge, elbow elbow.)
That said, did anyone else notice how they talk at the same time throughout the commentary and still manage to hear and respond to what the other says. I've said it before and I'll say it again, sometimes it's hard to tell where Cybill and Bruce end, and David and Maddie begin. Not wholly unintentional if you ask me.
laura a 02-10-2006, 10:44 PM Hi adyjdy i have sent you a PM but please dont post it around to other members until you`ve asked Kismet first. Many thanks. PS Hope you enjoyed reading it though!
I haven't seen anyone else mention this. When they're talking about sex and how it changed everything, I'm sure I heard Cybill say something like "It would have changed if we had..." That isn't an exact quote and I didn't catch it until about my 3rd viewing because I think she and Bruce were talking at the same time! (That overlapping dialogue again! ;) ) Anyone else pick up on that?
Yes CyBr i heard Cybill say that also. I wasn't sure at first too. I did notice the overlapping dialoge also. I was like OMG Maddie and David are there!LOL
Amazing how they still have that ability to talk at the same time and for us to understand it .
laura a 02-13-2006, 06:47 AM I heard her say to Bruce as well, i liked the way he smiled and chuckled when she said it.But dont you think its a bit ironic that she was sat there saying that if they! had slept together it would have changed the show-ruined the chemistry etc- but isn`t that what some people said exactly happened .That by seasons 4 and 5 it wasn`t there ( thats not my opinion by the way ) i think it seemed to heat up again in season 5 ( all those little off- camera things wev`e discussed before like the bottom pinching in Perfect etc.
So you draw your own conclusions DID THEY OR DIDN`T THEY?
neon000 02-13-2006, 06:51 AM I don't think they did.
Wouldn't they be bragging about it?
Hi adyjdy i have sent you a PM but please dont post it around to other members until you`ve asked Kismet first. Many thanks. PS Hope you enjoyed reading it though!
I'm a little confuced like Adyidy:confused:
Can you send me a PM too.
Thanks:crazy:
neon000 02-13-2006, 10:10 AM I dont know ,maybe but bare in mind they were both married at the time! You wouldn`t want to brag about infidelity would you?
Oh, so they'd have no problem doing something, but a problem talking about it. Okay.
I don't know either of these people so I of course can't say what they'd do or not do. But actually I still don't believe anything happened. Somebody else would have found out sooner or later.
I think this urban legend belongs in the realm of wishful thinking.
MulberryGal 02-13-2006, 10:26 AM I agree, I don't think they did, even though in Cybill's book, they were almost tempted to at some point (the lazeeboy lounger!). Cybill was SO right in the interview to say that everything would have changed if they had done anything!
It was so 'great great' to see both of them chatting and bantering together again, it could have been even better if Glenn Caron had left them together for a while... I loved the hug at the end!! So cute... I've always heard that Bruce is a very 'huggy' kinda guy... Cool!

OK Maybe your right ,youv`e nearly convinced me. Maybe we should steer clear of this particular topic as its seems to be quite controversial and i want our chats to be fun!
I just want to be able to join in, why are my DVDs taking so long to arrive
At last I have been able to watch. Its fantastic to see Bruce and Cybill together again. Wow they look good. Wish there had been more of them talking. And yes it did look like Cybill was waiting for something that either didn't happen or was cut out. And what happened after they went through the door at the end? I'd love to know if they carried on talking or went their separate ways
