Mijada 02-06-2006, 07:45 PM How's your baby doing these days? Any new pics you would like to share with us?
My baby is doing great, getting bigger everyday. Can't wait till he starts sleeping thru the night. I have tons of pics, just haven't had time to get them up yet.
How are you doing today? Just fine, a little tired though
What is the hardest part about being a mom?
Having to get up during the night and not being able to get back to sleep afterwards. Not used to that. Also it's hard understanding what my baby wants when he cries. I'm learning which cries mean what
Did you know the sex of your baby beforehand? Oh Yes
What invention would you like to see in your lifetime?
Good Question. I guess I would like to see some sort of TV where you can watch whatever you want whenever you want. Like you punch a code and a certain movie or tv show that you like will automatically will come on.
What ticks you off most?
People who don't listen when you are trying to get a point across
Do you have a favorite book? To Kill a Mockingbird
Have you ever been mistaken for a celebrity?
No but people have told me that I look like Chelsea Clinton because of my curly hair. It isn't flattering at all
What was the last book you read? Oliver Twist
What kind of music do you enjoy listening to? Mostly stuff from the 70's
Do you wish you could live in any other time period?
I would have liked to have lived in the 1920's or 1950's
Can you play any instruments? No but wish I would have learned piano
What was the last movie you saw? Lion Witch and the Wardrobe
EVer worn clothes of the opposite gender?
Sure. I grew up with 3 older brothers and got all their hand me downs. I still like wearing guys sweatshirts and stuff. More comfortable than womens clothes imo
Did you ever meet Paul Feig? I know you said your sister knew him
Nope, I never met him. He was 10 years older than I and went all thru school with my sister. My sis knew him best in Elementary school, Paul would call our house and ask my sister to go swimming at the Y with him. He had a big crush on her. By the time they reached HS they were hanging in separate crowds though
Karen* 02-06-2006, 07:49 PM Why did you choose the name Spencer Joel Thomas for your baby? (I really like it, BTW! :D )
Jo_Luvs_Ketchup 02-06-2006, 08:09 PM What's your favorite part about being a mom?
Mijada 02-06-2006, 08:12 PM Why did you choose the name Spencer Joel Thomas for your baby? (I really like it, BTW!
Spencer is one of the only names we could agree on. I got it from the actor Spencer Tracy and had never heard it anywhere else which is why my husband liked it. Thomas is my husbands name. Since everyone in his family has 2 middle names he wants to continue the tradition with his own children so I picked Joel because it is short, simple and my favorite name from the Bible.
What's your favorite part about being a mom?
I guess just the feeling of being needed, taking care of him, giving him little kisses and cuddles and the little smiles I get in return.
PrettyinPink55 02-06-2006, 08:34 PM Your son is SOOOO cute!!!
Do you have any pets?
Do you think that a person's personality is affected more by their genes or by their environment or both? In other words, what's your take on the nature/nurture question? Are we who we are because we were born that way or does the environment make us who we are?
What are your favorite TV shows?
Do politics interest you?
What was your favorite subject in school?
Mijada 02-06-2006, 08:51 PM Do you have any pets?
Yes, my husband had 2 dogs before we met, Soldier and Dewey
Do you think that a person's personality is affected more by their genes or by their environment or both? In other words, what's your take on the nature/nurture question? Are we who we are because we were born that way or does the environment make us who we are?
I think it's mainly the environment. I mean if a person is abused when they are a kid they are going to have a different personality than if they weren't abused. I think what happens to you when you are a kid makes you who you are when you grow up. I do think that depression and other mental illnesses can be hereditary though
What are your favorite TV shows?
I'm not familiar with very many of the current tv shows. I mostly watch older stuff on TVLand, Leave it to Beaver, Bewitched, Andy Griffith Show etc
I do try and catch Oprah and Dr. Phil though
Do politics interest you?
Not really, So difficult to understand at times. I don't think half these politicians would give me the time of day if they saw me on the street anyway.
What was your favorite subject in school? Art

ok here are my questions:
What does your screenname mean? Everytime I see your screenname it makes me think of the term of endearment that we use in our household: Mija. it's spanish for "my dear one" something like that.
Have you ever had any other screenname?

What is your dream vacation?
What was your best subject in elementary school? High School?

Mijada 02-09-2006, 07:31 PM Your baby is so beautiful...i know i keep telling you that, but it's so true!!!!!
Oh Thank you so much!!!!!!!
What does your screenname mean? Everytime I see your screenname it makes me think of the term of endearment that we use in our household: Mija. it's spanish for "my dear one" something like that.
I got it from the first 2 letters of 3 of my siblings. MIchele, JAmes and DAnny
Have you ever had any other screenname? Nope, Never have, never will
If given $1 million to leave the country permanently, would you? If so, what country would you go to?
For a million bucks? Sure. I'd go to Australia as long as my family could come and visit I'd go. I hear it's so beautiful and have always wanted to go. Also they don't seem to have all the social problems that we have here in the states.
What is your dream vacation? To go to Australia
What was your best subject in elementary school? High School? Art. The only subject I was any good at. I sucked at math, reading and everything else. I did improve my other subjects in college though
Do you remember your first crush? Oh yes. It was in third grade and the boys name was Craig. He was new to the school. He had dark hair, blue eyes, very beautiful little boy. All the girls had crushes on him. He only stayed for that one year then he moved away again.
When I was in my mid twenties, I was having my car serviced one day and this very handsome young man came up to me and asked where I went to school because I looked familiar to him. I told him and asked his name and he said Craig and when he said his last name I realized he was the same Craig that I had a crush on some 15 years earlier. We stood there and talked for about 15 minutes. I still can't believe that he remembered me.
