View Full Version : How many of you will watch the Super Bowl just for the COMMERCIALS and not the Game? TVFactFan 02-05-2006, 02:59 PM I know most people are not into football and usually just watch the SB to see the New Commercials. So how many of you are waiting to see the commercials and not the game? gilligan fanatic 02-05-2006, 03:02 PM not me, I could care less about the commercials. They will re air for a couple of months. The game is just on once. theshark8777 02-05-2006, 03:43 PM I watch for the game. Sadly, the commercials oushine the game sometimes. Especially when it gets to be a blowout. I like seeing most of the commercials too, though it's been a couple years since there was a really good one that I liked. theshark8777 02-05-2006, 03:43 PM not me, I could care less about the commercials. They will re air for a couple of months. The game is just on once. It helps when your team is actually in the game too! I've never experienced that with either of my teams . Polniaczek033 02-05-2006, 03:51 PM usually. but i'll watch both closely tonight i think. TJL 02-05-2006, 03:55 PM The commercials and halftime spectacle are all part of the whole package for me. I love the commercials. Hopefully they'll throw in a few cool movie trailers to boot. EmoJoe 02-05-2006, 03:55 PM not me, I could care less about the commercials. They will re air for a couple of months. The game is just on once. not nessacarly, some only air on the superbowl i watch it for both...but i always love the commercials :D dlemond 02-05-2006, 03:59 PM Football is my favorite sport, so it's all about the game. I do like the commercials too, but a guy's gotta go to the bathroom sometime! Brian Damage 02-05-2006, 04:07 PM It really depends on the game. If it is totally one sided, the only thing I'll be watching IS the commercials. Rachel3118 02-05-2006, 04:14 PM I don't care about the commercials. For the past few years they haven't been that great. I'll watch more for the game even though I'm not that into it. gilligan fanatic 02-05-2006, 04:40 PM It helps when your team is actually in the game too! I've never experienced that with either of my teams . yeah, that is always true. I watch if every other year though for the game. But it is a lot more fun when you team is there. robyrob 02-05-2006, 05:23 PM i have no idea what you guys are talking about pissed: Mr. Television 02-05-2006, 06:05 PM It helps when your team is actually in the game too! I've never experienced that with either of my teams . It's been 10 years since my team was last there. I miss it. :( Pentimento 02-05-2006, 06:56 PM Am I the only one watching Puppy Bowl II on Animal Planet? The commercials aren't great, but the game is pretty funny, and this year there's a halftime show: Kittens...and confetti! TJL 02-05-2006, 06:58 PM Am I the only one watching Puppy Bowl II on Animal Planet? The commercials aren't great, but the game is pretty funny, and this year there's a halftime show: Kittens...and confetti! What's the point spread on the Puppy Bowl? ;) Pentimento 02-05-2006, 07:07 PM What's the point spread on the Puppy Bowl? ;) I can't even make out who is on which team (or if there even are teams) but I think Barry the poodle is clearly the puppy to beat. He's totally dominating the other players in the backfield. robyrob 02-05-2006, 07:53 PM  I can't even make out who is on which team (or if there even are teams) but I think Barry the poodle is clearly the puppy to beat. He's totally dominating the other players in the backfield. the shiba inu is MY favorite, he's sooo scrappy!! robyrob 02-05-2006, 09:24 PM that halftime show was AMAZING but I dont think most of those kitties really liked the confetti all that much :( TVFactFan 02-05-2006, 10:00 PM that halftime show was AMAZING but I dont think most of those kitties really liked the confetti all that much :( The halftime show was ASS like it is every year-lol robyrob 02-05-2006, 10:22 PM The halftime show was ASS like it is every year-lolyou musta watched the WRONG halftime show then, because the KITTIES ROCKED  TJL 02-06-2006, 12:54 AM The Super Bowl commercials were awful this year. I know everyone is going to keep blaming the whole Janet Jackson incident for the complete drop in the quality of the ads, but, there was nothing special at all this year. dlemond 02-06-2006, 01:23 AM Hey, is it me or is Mick Jagger going senile? "Start Me Up" has about 25 words worth of lyrics but incredibly Mick doesn't know the order of them. Kind of amazing since he must have sang the song about 438,000 times. Start.. never stop Hot... mmm.. you make.. cryyyyyyyy Start....Woooooooh....crryyyyyy. dawsongirl 02-06-2006, 02:59 AM I didn't see any real spectacular commercials this year. But then, I wasn't paying total attention. Pentimento 02-06-2006, 11:22 AM the shiba inu is MY favorite, he's sooo scrappy!!I know! It looks like he finished second in the MVP voting, though. I think Barry the poodle got flagged for holding against him in the first half. Still, there seemed to be fewer puppy penalties called this year. Perversely, my favorite was the intentional grounding. that halftime show was AMAZING but I don't think most of those kitties really liked the confetti all that much Yeah. The kittens, being the serious professionals that they are, seemed to be tolerating the confetti but not really revelling in it. Maybe next year the organizers should consider booking a group of ferrets instead. Chain Gang Member 02-08-2006, 09:14 AM I like watching the commercials more than the game even though I enjoyed the game too |
