If you listen to the episode commentary done by Barry, Chris, and Susan, they mention how Robert Reed looks unhappy and shaking his head during the credits while everybody else is smiling. Was he really uncomfortable doing those opening credits and why? I also wondered what he was looking at when he looked right and then left and then shook his head and looked irritated towards the camera. I'll admit though Reed looked more comfortable doing the opening shots for the other seasons. He looks more relaxed and manages to grin anyway.

He was probably unhappy because he had a chance to look at all the season 1 scripts and realized that he had been misled by Sherwood Schwartz.
