I am trying to upload a DVD into You Tube and I have all the steps of converting the file ect; the only thing is that it's only uploading 30 seconds into the encoding program and doesn't upload the 22 minutes. What am I doing wrong?

i've never used YouTube, but how big of a file is this? are you on a broadband connection, or dial-up?

does the video still play ok? is it in the proper format? (.AVI, .MOV, or .MPG)

could you try it on Googlevideo (http://video.google.com/)?

I'm on broadband. Also I downloaded a program called 'Super v1 (somthing or other) to encode it and it has a lot of settings that probably need tweaking?
I have no idea how big of a file it is, roby. When I use WMP it plays fine ; it's just on that uploading process that it goes nuts. I'll look at Google video too.

YouTube says that it has to be less than 100mb, plus they say you have to have all your programs (flash, WMP, quicktime, IE, firefox etc) AND Windows up-to-date as well...

Everything is up to date, computer got refurbished earlier. I know people have uploaded their 22 min sitcoms there with no problem. It just happens to me.
