what does your significant other do for you that makes you smile?

my boyfriend of three months is one of the nicest guys i have ever met, he's treated me like gold even before we were dating.

one day during the summer i was bumming because of my ex. mike and i had gone out to breakfast that morning and when he dropped me off he told me to forget about the other guy.
a half hour later mike texted me and told me to look outside. he had burned me all three jack johnson cds and left them on my fence post. he'd even decorated the cds and the cd case and took the time to write a little note to go along with it all.

he's even willing to miss sleep for me.
last november my best friend and i went to see a guster concert in porvidence ri. well, our train home got cancelled and we ended up having transportation difficulties the rest of the night. had our train been working we would have arrived back in boston around 11 PM, but because of all the obstacles that came we didn't make it back until about 2:30 AM.
i called mike and apologized for waking him up and asking to get us but all he said was "i don't care, as long as you get home safe i'm all set."
he got himself out of bed came to the T station to pick us up and then drive us another half an hour to get jocelyn's car. i eneded up getting back to my house around 3:30 and i'm sure he didn't get home till at least twenty minutes later.
jocelyn then proceeded to tell me that i was the "highest-maintainance non-girlfriend ever."

... then we started dating a few days after that.
my favorite flowers by far are lilies and he's never forgotten that.

for our one month he left me lilies in my locker at school. left lilies at the pharmacy where i work and left lilies at my house.
they were gorgeous firey orange/red lilies and each bouquet came with a sweet note too.
he also planned a special dinner & movie date for the next night.

another example would be today.
i've been sick with a miserable head cold for the past three days and haven't been able to see him. so this afternoon he surprises me and stops by with some orange liliesand the new corpse bride dvd to cheer me up.

so do you have any good stories?

Tom does a lot of nice things for me. He works full time but when he comes home all tired he still helps around the house without being asked, vacumns, helps with the cooking and dishes. We just had a new bathtub put in and he draws me a bath every Sunday morning on his day off so I can relax for an hour or two while he takes care of our son. And he's an excellent father. If we are downstairs and we hear Spence crying or fussing on the baby moniter, Tom rushes up the stairs to tend to him. He sometimes brings me flowers when he comes home. He doesn't really buy me a lot of other expensive things but I don't mind because all the extra money goes to the baby. Sometimes I feel guilty that I'm no longer working or that I'm not helping out enough but Tom assures me that it's ok with him. He likes that I'm at home and that he can leave for work in the morning knowing that our baby is in good hands.

I got pink carnations and a pink teddy bear. :) Totally unexpected too. They're sitting on the mantle of the fake fireplace in our living room.

But the sweetest is just that he puts up with me. I'm not that easy to get along with.

my boyfriend of five months, brandon, is so good to me. he was even before he were dating. :)

he picks me up every morning for school, and even if it's pouring or snowing, he stands next to his car and waits for me, then opens my door for me.
he calls me every night even if he has nothing to say, just to see if i'm doing okay.
he goes out of his way to meet me after every one of my classes and walks with me to my next one and carries my books.
he takes me to sheetz after school and buys me food and drinks.
he always offers when we're on the phone to go get me food or something and bring it to my house, but i never let him because he never has money to buy gas, haha. :p
and basically, he just loves me unconditionally, and that's the most he can do.
there's a lot more though.

most importantly, he is coming over tonight to watch the super bowl with me. :D

My boyfriend puts up with me and my worries all the time. Also he gives me a Rose now and then, and I never expect them. One day he showed up to my house and I went to give him a hug. He had a plastic bag in his coat. He gave it to me and it turned out to be a plant, which was really sweet.

hahahahahaha. oh man. i ate them all in like a day.

Yeah, my boyfriend of 9 months puts up with all my stupidness, and I couldn't thank him enough.

But besides that, he's very chivalrous. I mean, if I even try to open a door for myself with him he's always like "ack, what do you think you're doing? That's my job." He still walks around and opens the car door for me.

He also pretty much treats me like a queen. He remembers everything. It amazes me how much he remembers. On our third month anniversary, he sent me purple flowers because he knew that purple was my favorite color. Then on 5 months, he sent me another bouquet of flowers, which kind of confused me because 5 months is not that big of a milestone. But then he told me that he remembered me saying that the longest relationship I'd ever had only lasted 5 months, and he sent the flowers to prove that he was going to be around longer than 5 months.

Most of all though, I guess the best thing he does for me is makes me feel happy just to be me. I'm always trying to change myself to be better, and I get frustrated a lot about it. But he just always smiles and tells me that I'm perfect just the way I am.
