Right now I am on a tight budget; I'm saving for college expenses when I transfer to a four-year university next year. Rather than buying TV shows, I am sampling them through Netflix. Then later this year, I'm going to buy the ones I like the most. The thing is, do studios still profit from TV DVD rentals? There are a lot of TV DVDs that I want to buy but it is unrealistic for me to get most of them at this point, as much as I want to get them.

Hmmm... Interesting question. I am not sure about this one, but I would say no. The studios get the money when the rental companes purchse the rental copies, but I don't think they get more for how often it is rented out. I am not sure of this though. Hope I was of help.
