Does anybody know how mcuh longer a Diffrent world will be airng on TBS? I dont want it to go off

I hate to say this but A Different World will not be on TBS as of 10/2 because Family Ties is replacing it at 8-9AM. It may just be on hiatus as the contract runs for several more years..

yeah, it's true. Starting today, ADW was not in it's 8:00 and 8:30 am ET time-slots. I'm actually impressed it has lasted this long on TBS, given the show has now been over for 7 years. But having said that, I certainly am dissapointed to see it taken off the air. Where did you hear about them having a contract with TBS? If that's the case, you'd have to figure they'd put them back on sometime in the future.

Oh, definitely! It is still a popular show. It was great that TBS was airing it twice a day which meant the shows were aired in twice the time meaning it took 3 months to air all episodes. I wonder it that had to do with TBS pulling it off for a while. Family Ties won't be in that time slot forever, since it is coming to NAN next year. This is coincidence, in 1987 Family Ties was removed from its 8:30pm time slot after The Cosby Show to make way for A Different World, but now the tables are turned.

A Different World is still shown on TBS because I saw it every day during Christmas Break!! Check it out for yourself!! TBS is still showing 2 episodes a day.

Are you serious?? Well it looks like i will not get to tape the episodes with Denise Huxtable, the reason the show existed. And to replace it with a show like family ties, that's just plain sick. TBS should put Family Ties on at 5am instead of Good times

Solomon, look at the date, this topic is old.

as far as ADW being on TBS i think it may depend on where you are in the U.S. i live in California and it still airs twice at 11am.
