Iv'e had gay friends, so that aspect wouldn't bother me, but just like if I had a girl friend who I had no physical interest in, and she had an interest in me, it would be really hard to maintain a friendship with her. I had this problem with a girl once, and things didn't work out too well. I had a huge crush on a friend, but she didn't see me that way at all. Eventually, keeping a friendship with her, and seeing her dating other guys and stuff, became way too painful for me, and I just couldn't deal with it. I'd never want to put anyone through that. It sucks!!!!!!

I agree. My daughter is gay and she has a look that tells you BACK OFF OR I WILL KICK YOUR A$$. She is not the feminine lesbian that is so much the stereotype that men have of gay women.

Well if you feel that way why have you been jumping all over my case for saying I would kick a guy's ass if he told me he liked me in that way? Like the poster said you are not supposed to tell somerone who is straight that u like them.

I asked my man this question and he said he would politely tell his friend "Sorry, don't have the same feelings" and just move on. He would remain friends with the guy. but he did say this: If the guy is his friend, then he should know you are straight, and never tell you anything like that.

I have had a guy friend who knew I wouldn't be interested in him, but he pursued and tried anyways, so it can happen, a gay guy can appproach his straight friend and tell him how he feels.

Here's one to all of the people who say 'you shouldn't ask them if they're straight'...

Say you have this friend, who might have bisexual tendencies, or could be in the closet and doesn't want to admit they're gay.

Then, say you confront them about this crush, and you find out they feel the same way, but you would've never known unless you had come clean about your crush first.

God, you're so paranoid over the whole deal, you're so afraid that if you hang out with a gay friend, you're gonna wake up the next morning wanting to suck dick, that is NOT how it works. I have never gone straight from hanging with my straight friends, and they have never decided they like dick either in the same time.
