The Chauffeur 02-02-2006, 10:27 AM Noooo! I'll be 34 this year and I'm getting my season pass to King's Island this year! We have 3 major theme parks in our state :D Kings Island, Six Flags and Cedar Point! Chad Michael Murray 02-02-2006, 11:03 AM I don't think it's weird at all. I've noticed a trend with you, though. Skittles, sneakers, amusement parks... It's like you feel like once a person reaches their 20s, they have to leave behind anything that could be seen as youthful and instead reach for their wheelchair and a Matlock video while they enjoy some stewed prunes for the day. *MIBabe03* 02-02-2006, 11:03 AM well I'm 30 and amusements parks just don;t excite me like they did when I was 14 and 15. There's a bit of everything for everyone. ... besides, you do know that a way to a woman's heart is winning a big adorable suffed animal from the midway games ;) And those rides, who do you think she's going to grab onto when she gets a lil scared? By the way, I'm 26 and I'm wearing sneakers right now  You know, I haven't been to a zoo in years and I think that going there one of these days again could be fun because I do find the animals exciting to study their behavior of. Six Flags is 10 mins from me and while I haven't been there in a couple years, I wouldn't exactly rule out never going there again. Chad Michael Murray 02-03-2006, 11:40 AM This 35 year old woman told me she likes going to amusement parks during the summer season. Shouldn't u been into doing other FUN things by 35? There's your original question, and it has absolutely nothing to do with dating. You're saying people shouldn't be going to places like that at her age. MsOrange 02-03-2006, 12:37 PM There's your original question, and it has absolutely nothing to do with dating. You're saying people shouldn't be going to places like that at her age. he said he worded his orginal question wrong in a previous post. phoebe7165 02-03-2006, 01:06 PM I'm over 35 and I still love going to amusement parks, and if somebody asked me out and said he was taking me to an amusement park as our first date, I'd be all for it. It sure beats the same old tired dinner & a movie!!Where does it say that a person has to stop doing certain things when they reach a certain age? I live about an hour from the Disney parks, in fact, I just went to Epcot back in Nov. and went on 'Test Track'. Everytime I go to one of these parks I see people of all ages there(and they all aren't there with kids!!) Same goes for all the Six Flags parks I've been to. BTW, I also still go to rock concerts, and I'll be going to them even in my 40s/50s/60s. That may have been a little off-topic of what is actually being discussed here, but oh well. My point has to do with age, and not doing certain things anymore just because one reaches a certain age. The Chauffeur 02-03-2006, 01:10 PM I think if a guy had asked me out to a theme park even in my 30s, it would inticate a fun-loving and easy-going guy. That would be an extremely endearing quality to me. seventies_sitcoms 02-03-2006, 01:10 PM This 35 year old woman told me she likes going to amusement parks during the summer season. Shouldn't u been into doing other FUN things by 35? I'm 34 and I've never been to an amusement park, so I don't know what fun I was missing anyway. Moonlight Lady 02-03-2006, 04:36 PM No, I don't think it's weird. I'll be 37 and I still love amusement parks. Dean Winchester 02-03-2006, 04:41 PM where do you get off calling Allison a bitch? she has never been anything less than one of the friendliest posters in all of Sitcoms Online. If 99% of the board feels a certain way, then maybe have you come to think that you're the one with the problem, not the rest of us? Calling people ***s and bitches and weirdos is only making you look worse than before. Calling people ***s and bitches and weirdos is only making you look worse than before. Who called Allison a bitch?? What??! EmoJoe 02-03-2006, 04:45 PM IF i didn know what it was obviously I never thought about taken advantage of someone you stupid mutherf*** F*UCK YOU was there really a need for that? that could get you suspended, you know. MsOrange 02-03-2006, 04:48 PM why can't everyone just shut up? I mean, seriously. It's alright to hate on one person when you have back up, but then suddnely it's not alright when someone calls someone a name. Hypocritical, non? Solomon is obviously just screwin' w/ everyones head. If he wants to not associate w/ homosexuals, then fine, so be it. Who cares? He thinks amusement parks are lames. Don't invite him on your next trip! It's nothing new that some of his posts are obviously only done to ruffle people's feathers. Yet people let him do it page after page. Dean Winchester 02-03-2006, 04:50 PM Who called Allison a bitch?? What??! Solomon called Allison a "stupid bitch" a few posts back because she told him he needs to find a hobby EmoJoe 02-03-2006, 04:50 PM f*ucking if you keep talking like that, your gonna get suspended. so i really suggest stopping. im not singing you out, im just letting you know, because thats clearly against the rules Janice 02-03-2006, 05:24 PM Solomon, stop the swearing. With that said, I can't get over the hypocrisy here. People are telling Solomon off left and right, and they flip when he fights back and calls them a name. Like MsOrange said, who cares if Solomon doesn't want to hang out with gay people? That's his right. Last time I checked, it's not in the SO rules that members have to agree with the gay lifestyle. Who cares about his opinion on amusement parks? What, are we all supposed to march in lockstep around here in our thinking? The vast majority of the personal attacks on this thread and the one about gays were directed at Solomon, not the other way around. And Solomon has never reported a single member. EmoJoe 02-03-2006, 05:29 PM i think this thread needs to be closed. Chad Michael Murray 02-03-2006, 05:36 PM Well what started this WHOLE thing in the first place was what Solomon said to me on page 1. For him not to agree with a gay/bisexual lifestyle is one thing. Nobody can make him, and if he doesn't agree, then fine. But why did he have to personally insult me? That's something that didn't exactly make me feel good. There are a lot of things I don't agree with, but I wouldn't go right off and insult somebody because of it. And no, don't tell me it was meant as a joke, because it wasn't. EDIT: Oops, I thought this was the other thread. Well, what I said there is in regards to page 1 of the thread Janice Johnson created. Dean Winchester 02-03-2006, 05:41 PM Well what started this WHOLE thing in the first place was what Solomon said to me on page 1. For him not to agree with a gay/bisexual lifestyle is one thing. There are a lot of things I don't agree with, but I wouldn't go right off and insult somebody because of it. And no, don't tell me it was meant as a joke, because it wasn't. that's the truth. He can politely say "I don't agree with homosexuality", but instead he took the "I will punch any guy who is gay and tells me I'm attractive" and "if you associate with gays, you're gay yourself" and the sort route. Nobody has to agree with homosexuality, but Solomon's issues with homosexuality don't sound like religious reasons, but paranoia (which truly is homophobia... if you're afraid that having a gay friend will make you gay yourself, you're being paranoid, and therefore homophobic because you fear gays), and everytime he says something to correct himself, he comes off even more rude and offensive than before. You can say "I don't have any gay friends", but don't throw in "everyone who does is a closet gay/bi" or "Straight Men do not associate with Gay Men PERIOD." like his case is fact. It's all in the way he presented his attitude over the matter. And remember, Chad Michael Murray did nothing wrong except honestly answer a question, and anyone who has read more than two posts of his knows he swings both ways... how strange would it be for a 100% heterosexual 21 year old MALE to have a WB heartthrob as his screenname and avatar? MsOrange 02-03-2006, 05:44 PM that's the truth. He can politely say "I don't agree with homosexuality", but instead he took the "I will punch any guy who is gay and tells me I'm attractive" and "if you associate with gays, you're gay yourself" and the sort route. It's all in the way he presented his attitude over the matter. STILL... it could have been dropped. Plus, I don't remember him saying that someone deserved to be beat up just because they were gay. Some of the stuff he said was wrong, and didn't need to be said, but it went both ways. Others said things that shouldn't of been said too. I believe a post going on over 10 pages fighting w/ someone who obviously isn't taking it as serious as the rest shows a lack of maturity on both sides. Janice 02-03-2006, 05:44 PM How's this? From now on, everytime someone says something that's politically incorrect or might hurt somebody's feelings, I'll just close the thread. We can just talk about our favorite colors, food, our pets...that sort of thing. |
