View Full Version : Need Songs!

My neighborhood does a variety show every year and I need song suggestions! I know TDVDS had ALOT of great songs in it, like "Nothing Can Be Finer...". Can someone help me out to locate these shows with the songs in them? (I have seasons one and two on DVD, so most likely the songs from those seasons will be the only ones I can suggest). Thanks!

Please just tell me the episode and around when the song is, I don't really have time to search through every episode myself, but I know some of you are DVD experts and probably know this stuff without even looking it up!

And if you just have random song suggestions, feel free to jump in! Heck, we can even make this the official song thread of TDVDS, as I think part of its success was the way Dick and Mary could sing and dance so well together. If you guys don't know what episodes the songs are from, maybe you know a website that I can research that on?

Thanks alot,
Pat

TV DVD Fan, I hope I'm not too late. I've started back to work this week and have been going to classes as required after returning from such a long medical leave, so I have far less time to respond on the message board.

What do you mean "the show's been over for 2 months?" It is still on TV Land at 9am EDT. The rumor is that it is leaving TV Land in August but there is a petition drive going on to try to prevent that.

Pretty good. It always turns out to be a great show. I did alot of mens' ensemble work including "Tears On My Pillow", and a hilarious number called "Hallelujah I'm A Bum." We all dressed up like bums and sang this rather odd song about being bums. I also rang a background bell in "Me and My Shadow" (which was featured in "The Great Petrie Fortune"), and did a few other fun songs. Worked out great, thanks for asking!
