View Full Version : Show Us Your Tattoos!
Ireneparalegal 01-31-2006, 08:24 PM I know we had a thread of this last Summer. I wanted to update it since we have new members, and hopefully, some old members have added tats that we haven't seen yet. Ok, here are mine:
Stewie on my left shoulder - Got this done at Venice Beach early last year.
Chinese writing - my lower right back with my man's name in chinese. I am going to add my kids name also using chinese symbols with a cross. I am still trying to find a beautiful cross that I am going to use, I don't want just any cross, I am searching until I find the right one that will go with the chinese symbols. my man's name and my kids name will encircle the cross.

Chad Michael Murray 01-31-2006, 08:27 PM I've got the same tattoo on my arm as Faith from BtVS. Tomorrow when I'm out, I'll pick up some more batteries for my digital camera and take a picture of it.

lol seriously
MsOrange 02-01-2006, 01:34 PM i'm not interested in having a needle in me unless i'm dieing of something
plus, the old age point that had been made. I dont' want my sexy design to look like it's been in water too long when i get old.
Chad Michael Murray 02-01-2006, 01:52 PM I don't let the old age thing bother me. People always say "Well it'll look bad when you get old" blah blah, but I'm not going to not do something I want to do just because I think it'll look bad in 40 years. By that time, I'll be too old to care, and the only person seeing me naked will be my wife anyway, and I doubt it'll bother her very much.

to each his own... i still don't like needles, so it's not worth it to me

Lol, well, that sounds like a pretty good reason to me, though!
If you ever DO decide you want a tattoo, though, let me just tell you that it's nowhere near as bad as people might imagine it is. Seriously, to me what it felt like was somebody writing on you with a pen, just using more pressure. It wasn't as awful at all as what I was expecting.

-*Forever*- 02-01-2006, 06:45 PM I'm getting one for my birthday, it's going to be a pink Gemini symbol with little stars around it on my ankle :D Then when I turn 18, I'm getting two more.
Ireneparalegal 02-01-2006, 10:17 PM that stewie is cuuuuuuuute
Not as cute as you my dear!!!!!:D
InspectorExstead 02-01-2006, 10:40 PM I've been saying I'm going to get a tattoo since last year when I turned 18. But I can't make up my mind about what I want! First it was the typical butterfly on the back, then a sun on my ankle. But now, I think I want a quote or line written in Farsi. Something I live my life by...like "This too shall pass" or something about regret. Buuuuut...I'd have to get it translated and make sure it's all the right translation. But I've been kind of freaked about the pain, but reading what Chad Michael Murray said about it feeling like a pen with more pressure kind of calms me a bit. =)
The Modfather 02-01-2006, 10:55 PM I am getting a tattoo when I turn 18. My mom has one on her ankel, so, both my parents are cool with it. I am getting this on my top left shoulder: (sorry about the huge size...)

~*Hannah_Lee*~ 02-02-2006, 02:18 AM I would like to get a tattoo sometime while I'm in college, but I'll probably chicken out. Ever since I was 14, though, I've always said if I ever got a tattoo it would be this one on my left shoulder blade. It's the Chinese symbol for faith. If I ever get it, I might get some scripture underneath it that has something to do with having faith in God.

That's beautiful. I love chinese symbols.

Mijada 02-04-2006, 08:07 PM I wanted to get a small tattoo of Snoopy on my shoulder but my husband is dead set against it. He just doesn't find them attractive on men or women. He told me if I ever get one he will send me off to join the circus.

Oh Thank you. Yes he is getting bigger. He's 2 months old and has already doubled his weight since he was born. Seems he can only wear an outfit once or twice before he grows out of it.

InspectorExstead 02-09-2006, 07:00 PM Does anyone know how common Farsi fonts are in tattoo shops? If I get a tattoo in Farsi and I bring the word to them (written in Farsi on a piece of paper), would they have the font in a bigger size in their shop for me or would the artist have to draw it based on what it looks like from my paper? Because I'm worried that if the artist draws it while looking at the paper, it might not look exactly like it should; like the curves and stuff would be different. Does anyone know?!

if you go to a reputable place with professional tattoers (?) then no problem. They will know how to do it. When I took in the chinese symbol for my tattoo it was tooooo small, so he drew it and drew it until it was the size I wanted. He then sticked the outline on my skin and let me see in the mirror if it looked good and if it was right where I wanted.
take some Farsi fonts that you want from the computer. print them out. if you have a magazine or books, take those too.
Johnny S 02-09-2006, 08:43 PM I don't have any yet (I am only 14), but I plan on getting one the same as Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Keidis has on his back. Here are a few pics of it.

If I take a dictionary (English to Farsi) and actually show them the word, it would work. Si senorita? Thanks for the advice!!
InspectorExstead 02-09-2006, 09:24 PM Oh..and what were people's tattoo experiences like? Was it painful, bearable, how long did it take, etc. I need all the info I can get!
Redd Foxx 02-09-2006, 10:22 PM I am going to get a few soon, I just don't which to get.
