View Full Version : Am I the only one who couldn't stand "Hey Hey Hey"...
nerrad 01-31-2006, 04:33 PM .....it was OK at first until it became annoying. It was if Dwayne didn't care when he said it, as long as he did. Much like "Dynomite"!!!!
I like Rerun's "What's Happening" better than that.
And besides Hey Hey Hey is Fat Alberts.
msladysoul 01-31-2006, 05:50 PM You gotta admit thought, he had a clever way of saying "Hey Hey Hey." I try to say as he did, it never sounds as good.
I wonder if the Fat Albert show felt What's Happening stole their "Hey Hey Hey" trademark. They could of sued. The shows were too close to use the same slogan.
CindyRoxiesLair2006 01-31-2006, 08:27 PM YEAH, TV Researcher...
You must be the only one who couldn't stand that "hey, HEY, hey" icon...
At least as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing irritating about it, no matter who might let it out loud! LOL, not kidding really...
:happyface

Are you kidding? I LOVED it when Dwayne said "Hey-Hey-Hey!" Like Myladysoul said - I think it's something about the way he said it which makes people like it. ;)
MikeLutton 01-31-2006, 11:25 PM i agree i coundnt stand it at all i mean it didnt make any sense or anything .why couldnt he just say hi lol
Brieannas21 02-01-2006, 12:19 AM I didn't mind it, it was way better than JJ's DY-NO-MITE
msladysoul 02-01-2006, 09:48 AM It seems like you guys are a little envious of our Dwayne so you find any little thing to pick on yet you hardly ever say anything about Raj and Rerun.
TVFactFan 02-01-2006, 10:49 AM .....it was OK at first until it became annoying. It was if Dwayne didn't care when he said it, as long as he did. Much like "Dynomite"!!!!

And besides Hey Hey Hey is Fat Alberts.
It sounded like a entrance a gay guy would make-lol

And also Dwayne never saw Hey, Hey hey, His more was GIRLY, like HAY, HAY, HAY-lol

No they didn't still the Fat Albert trademark because Dwayne said HAY HAY HAY. Fat Albet's was HEY HEY HEY
TVFactFan 02-01-2006, 10:52 AM It seems like you guys are a little envious of our Dwayne so you find any little thing to pick on yet you hardly ever say anything about Raj and Rerun.
Maybe it was because Dwayne was a DORK. Rerun and Raj wasn;t dorks. Dwayne was scary, shy and goofy
GARFIELDKOOL 02-01-2006, 11:32 AM The Hey, Hey, Hey did get a little tiring. I agree with most people who preferred it over Dyno-o-mite. I also agree with Solomon by Dwayne saying it in a gay way. My brother even said, that sounds gay. Fat's Albert's was better. But other than Rerun's dancing, I liked Raj's laugh more than anything. It was corny, but you couldn't help but laugh at his laugh. LOL

Then he looked even more GAY when he turned his hands OUT and said-HAY, HAY, HAY-lol Why did he have to do the hand thing
Brian Damage 02-01-2006, 11:37 AM I never minded Dwayne's, "Hey, Hey, Hey."
TVFactFan 02-01-2006, 11:47 AM I never minded Dwayne's, "Hey, Hey, Hey."
Brian it was Hay, Hay, Hay not Hey, Hey, Hey-lol
msladysoul 02-01-2006, 01:04 PM I know that sign it's envy. Don't hate the playa hate the game as they say. The girls sure didn't mind it. The guys always talked about him, but the girls didn't. I would expect the men not to like him, if you all did, I would be worried. Raj and Rerun are friend types to the guys because they don't have to worry about them still their girls are girls admiring them, guys always been jealous of the pretty boys with a heart of gold who have a special way with the ladies.
Besides, all the guys had feminine type voices to me. Rerun's laugh, they way he would look, the way he talked, the way he moved when he danced was feminine.
Raj
Dwayne had the most manly voice of the three, he had a little laugh that was kind of girlish in a way.
They probably were the three most feminine men in the world.

I totally agree, Rerun was a bit to feminine for my taste, his voice was very feminine. If you look at the episode when Shirley gets fired and the boys are trying to think of Shirley's last name. Raj ask Rerun if he knew Shirley's last name, and Rerun says something like "I've always called her, Hey Shirley!" The way that he says that, it's very feminine, also when Rerun would say "Hey guys"
msladysoul 02-01-2006, 03:46 PM Raj ask Rerun if he knew Shirley's last name, and Rerun says something like "I've always called her, Hey Shirley!" The way that he says that, it's very feminine, also when Rerun would say "Hey guys"
LOL! I needed that laugh...thanks:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I swear if Reru came in the door acting GAY saying HAY HAY HAY yall all would agree. But since it's pretty boy Dwayne his ENTRANCE was cute. Whatever

I never said that it was cute, I said it didn't bother me, but you said that he sounded gay. And I was just pointing out Reruns feminine sound.

Rerun only sounded feminine ONE TIME on the show. When he was scared to comeinside his brother in law's house nd stuck his head in the door and said in a real high pitch voice-HI IKE!!!!!-lol That was the only time

LMAO Rerun has sounded feminine in almost every episode. The only time that I really saw a manly side of Rerun was in The Apartment episode when he was telling Mabel to go home. And in the episode in Season 3 when Dwayne and Rerun were acting like a husband and wife.

I didn't mind it either, I thought it was pretty cool. I didn't mnd JJ saying Dyn o mite either, they were comedies and if Fonzie and the gang had their sayings why not Dwayne too. Blossom's Joey had his "Whoa" saying too.

Thank you comedyfreak, I applaud your intelligent response. :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap
If tvresearcher has so many complaints about the show and the characters, why does he even watch it? I don't watch what I don't like and than make fun of everything and everyone.
Pitooey 02-02-2006, 08:27 AM I didn't mind him saying it. To me he was cute back then. He had a nice body too. How old was he? Maybe his voice was changing at the time.
msladysoul 02-02-2006, 08:30 AM He also has a nice body now! :happyface He was born in 1960, so he was in his later teens in the late 1970's.

How unfortunate for you! :( You're weird. LOL, J/K
Anyways, Dwayne added that cool, special touch to the show, and Dee definitely added humorous spice to it as well. And you know this as well as everybody.
How can one not see the true humor and beauty that was involved in their unique form of acting/contributing to the overall enjoyment of the show???
And Hey, HEY, Hey via Dwayne put that extra zip into WH's "trademark" overall coolness. Period...
:happyface ;)

I still feel that HAY, HAY, HAY sounded like something a gay guy would say when he entered a room.
