In the Ep where Gilligan gets his hand stuck to the bowling ball, Professor tells the girls to act like they don't notice it. He tells them to be nonchalent. Anyway, as Gilligan is approaching, the girls start whistling and it has always sounded to me like they were whistling the Gilligan's Island theme. Has anyone else ever noticed that?

You're right; it is the GI theme they're whistling. I think it was meant to be a little joke to see if the audience would catch it. The same thing has happened on other shows. In one episode of Hogan's Heroes, the prisoners are heard whistling the HH theme and I seem to remember that at the end of the 2 part Get Smart that took place in a prison camp, you can hear the prisoners whistling the GS theme as they're marching out of the barracks.

On a few episodes of Sanford and Son Fred sings his theme too.

Next to Gilligan, I've always been a HUGE Sanford and Son fan and I can't recall Fred using his own theme. Tell me some Eps where he did this so I can see for myself because you've really gotten me curious.

actually, It was not on Sanford and Son at all. He guest stared on the first episode of the spinoff with Grady and the first scene he is in he hums a bar of it.

I seem to remember on that on the "Blind Journey 2" episode of Little House on the Prairie, Nellie plays the Little House on the Prairie Theme on the Oleson's piano. She plays it good, but Mr. Oleson tells her to stop playing.
