If I had to live with her, she'd drive me nuts. But I think she was a superb character in the series. Everytime she came on the screen I knew I was going to laugh :)

Hilary was so funny. I thought her and Jeffery were the funniest out of all of them.

i have to say i am not a fan of hilary either. she was basically a black comic stereotype of a dumb blonde. i can understand why she was in the show, seeing as it was a character we could laugh along with and AT her. but she did get on my nerves. of all the characters on the fresh prince, hiliary was the only one i disliked out of all of them. there were a few occasions during some episodes where she demonstrated her worth and confidence, such as when she had to go out with jazz on a date in the first season, with will going out with vanessa and the episode where she, carlton and geoffery had to work in a hostel serving food to the homeless later on the series. but otherwise, i found her to be very shallow, self absorbed and often arrogant

I liked Hilary, although I did not watch TFPoB throughout its entire run. I mostly watched the first 3 or so seasons, then I thought it got old.

Yes, her character was incredibly self-centered and shallow, but that's the way she was supposed to be. I don't know exactly how unique it was to have a black girl acting and talking the way she did, but it was certainly an unusual thing to see...she's the only black actress I've seen play a part like that.

I thought she was hot, as well.

I've never seen the actress who played her anywhere except in the context of this show... I've never seen an interview with her, and as far as I know, I've never seen her in anything else.

But I liked her, although I can understand how she could get on some people's nerves.
