That's really disappointing. I tivo both shows everyday and usually catch up on Fridays. If only they'd release the show by season on dvd, I wouldn't have to rely on Lifetime.

At least Lifetime hasn't taken it off entirely. Thank God for TIVO! :D

This sucks. I love having 2 episodes a day. I have a feeling now that in time they will just take the show off for good. At least there is some DVDs & people who have lots of episodes you can get from.

WHAT????

Well, at least they are still showing it. I hope this isn't a burning off strategy though.

I love my double does of UM! :( :( :(

Damn Lifetime! I was afraid of this, I enjoyed seeing the show on twice a day.

It's disappointing but not very surprising. With the fact that they replay many episodes, I've been wondering lately if they aren't trying to find a way to can the show.

I can't believe this. I watch Unsolved Mysteries when I go home for lunch everyday. I watch the first and tape the second. This is really sad.

It wouldn't hurt if us faithful watchers emailed Lifetime and politely asked them to continue showing 2 episodes a day. Since its a month before they're changing it to 1 episode per day you never know maybe they'll put another UM on somewhere during the day. That might help give them some indication of how many people out there actually watch UM daily on their network.

Does anyone have an email address? That we could email Lifetime?

Better yet, write to them via snail mail. Emails are fine, but as I've pointed out before, physcial letters generally have more impact than emails.

As always, be civil when you contact them. And in the words of Bill O'Reily, "no bloviating."

Their website is www.lifetimetv.com. I'm sure you can find the info you need on there.

If they were burning them off, they'd be increasing the number of airings. I always thought airing 2 a day was to get rid of the show, but apparently not. It's gotten to the point where they were repeating episodes far too often.

I actually don't mind this. It works better with my schedule.

That's a good idea Crystal I know I will b/c I love having 2 episodes of UM everyday. It gives me something to do on Sunday's.

That's absolutely correct. An old fashioned letter has exponentially more impact.

What I'd like to see is a 2 or 3 AM slot for the second (or first?) episode. Then reserve the creepy segments for that time block. I guess I'd settle for midnight or 12:30 AM like a few years ago on weekends, although that would diminish the impact somewhat.

It would be great if they would bring it back in the evening, but I don't think that will happen unless some other cable channel picks it up.

I'd really love to have it on late at night too.

I loved it when it aired at 1am on Sunday Mornings... very creepy indeed.

Of course, when they first started that, that was the only airing(they dropped it from weekdays for a few months).

YES!!!! They need to air it at night again! I watch it at night anyway, but those night broadcasts were perfect!!! How about every weeknight?

I remember back in about 2001 they would show a 30 minute episode late at night on weeknights (I think).

They did...although I thought it was Sunday or Saturday nights. Or maybe it was both weekend nights and weeknights. Anyway, I REALLY enjoyed that! :D

It seems like the earliest memory I have of watching UM on Lifetime was when it was on at 2 p.m. (central) on Sunday afternoons. Anyone else remember that?

I think this is most likely caused by the release of the DVDs.

"Well, they've got these collections what else is there to do 2 is too many!!!"

I think a phase out process is happening and has been forever. Now that there are DVDs, we apparently have everything we want (I'd actually like to see year DVDs as is commonly requested) and so they can start showing some reruns of The Golden ______ and Frasier (both good shows, but >_< Yo quiero mi Unsolved Mysteries.)
