View Full Version : John Ritter made it funny and David Spade made it funny..again Chain Gang Member 01-30-2006, 12:31 PM WOuld it be great to see them both on 8SR? JackTripper258 01-30-2006, 05:08 PM that would have been great! i mean, just imagine CJ getting on Paul's nerves...hehe. :p Buffyboy323 01-31-2006, 01:01 AM I don't think there would be much conflict/getting on nerves between the 2 because they're always talking about how much Paul believed in CJ, and he was the one who always stuck up of him and stuff. There would have been some great moments if he came to visit in season one and stuff though. I like Cj, but after awhile, he get's irritating. I like season 3 alot, but none of the reasons point to him. I can't wait to see Bridget on the tennis team again. And Ed O'Neal as Cates ex-boyfriend, when they snuck out of the window was hilarious. Mr. Television 01-31-2006, 01:07 AM I never cared for CJ much especially in season 3. Chain Gang Member 02-02-2006, 05:09 PM I can't wait to see "Secrets".I loved that episode. It was so funny:lol: MrsRitter 02-02-2006, 08:34 PM i love CJ and his smart remarks to the grandpa. i was watching the show yesterday and like every word that came out of his mouth made me laugh  Adamantium 02-02-2006, 11:58 PM I think with what they had to deal with, the producers did right every step of the way. First bringing in the Grandpa was important. Giving him a little time with the still grieving family. Then bring in C.J. who was just hilarious and a great foil for Grandpa Jim. I disagree with everyone who thinks C.J. stayed too long. Maybe character wise, he should have moved on with his life. But he was the funniest character on the show (in seasons 2 & 3) in my opinion. I can understand why some people wouldn't want him to get a stories or something. Because we went through a terrible tragedy with Cate, Brigdet, Kerry and Rory and even Jim (who came in right as the tragedy occured). C.J. came in to infuse some more laughter into the show. But more people probably wanted to just stick with the main family characters that we got to know from season one. Also, I believe Paul cared about C.J. but he still would have gotten on "Uncle Paul's" nerves from time to time. That's just what C.J. does. snowglobes25y 02-12-2006, 01:32 PM I think with what they had to deal with, the producers did right every step of the way. First bringing in the Grandpa was important. An 80s Guy 03-07-2006, 02:01 PM David Spade isn't funny he's very annoying even on his comedy central show "The ShowBiz Show With David Spade" he still acts dumb and annoying CJ can't compare to Paul and David Spade can't compare with John Ritter Scoobiedoo30 03-08-2006, 11:32 AM Yes John Ritter did make it Funnie Chain Gang Member 03-08-2006, 07:34 PM David Spade isn't funny he's very annoying even on his comedy central show "The ShowBiz Show With David Spade" he still acts dumb and annoying CJ can't compare to Paul and David Spade can't compare with John Ritter It would've lasted only 2 seasons or just a season and a half if they didn't bring him to the show.Grandpa Jim didn't get entertaining until C.J came along Mr. Television 03-08-2006, 08:25 PM It would've lasted only 2 seasons or just a season and a half if they didn't bring him to the show.Grandpa Jim didn't get entertaining until C.J came along I think more people tuned out once it became the CJ show. Maybe the show wasn't meant to survive after John died but I think the producers would have been better off just focussing on the immediate family. Katey and the girls could have carried the show and I did like Jim Garner but only as a supporting character. |
