What makes a DVD freeze? I have two of the same DVD player and my discs are freezing up in the same spots when I play them on either player. I thought it was the DVD so I exchnaged for a new one and it still freezes in the same places? It's a basic SONY player, about a year old.

Let me guess...you're playing a disc made by Universal? They're notorious for putting out discs that freeze in people's players.

If it's not a Uni disc you may have run into a bad batch. Try taking it back and buying from a different store.
