View Full Version : Classmates who got into trouble with the law
Brad Russ 01-29-2006, 07:33 PM This thread was inspired by Janice's thread about classmates who passed away.
I'm sure Iv'e had many former classmates who later on in life got into trouble with the law, but two in particular stand out the most, since they were both on the news.
A couple years ago, I was shocked to see on tv one evening, that one of my former classmates was put in prison for murdering his girlfriend by strangling her to death. In one sense I was surprised, and in another I wasn't. When this kid was in school, he got teased unmercifully. I remember at recess, large groups of kids use to follow him and kick the back of his shoes. He always looked so frightened and confused, and I always felt so bad for him. I remember people use to call him a nazi just because he was German, and they'd say he stunk, and call him every name in the book. After seeing the trouble he got into, I wanted to tell everyone in the world that this is what can happen when you mock, and ridicule someone. You don't do them a favor by treating them like ****, most of the time you just mess them up for thereentire lives, and this kid is the perfect example of that. Him doing what he did was inexcusable, and he obviously should have to take account for it, but I know that those kids making his life a living hell each and everyday, certainly contributed to some of the major problems he had in his later life.
Anyway, there was another kid at my school named Jonathan, who got busted awhile back for a huge robbery deal that he got caught doing with some friends last year. Police found some $40,000 worth of stolen goods in some storage that they kept. I wasn't surprised at all when I heard considering the fact that he was pretty well known in school for committing robberies, and blowing up porto potty's, and doing various other illegal activities, so this was something I think most people sort of expected to happen at some point.
What are your memories of classmates who got into serious trouble with the law, either when you went to school with them, or when you were out of school?? Out of courtesy, please don't mention any last names unless their story made the news.

Mr. Stefani 01-29-2006, 07:39 PM My ex-bestfriend stabbed and killed someone a few months ago.
Various others have been arrested over the years for posession, etc.
~LadyJess~ 01-29-2006, 08:24 PM Nothing too serious yet from the kids I graduated with...a few nights in jail and such, but with some of the people that went to that school, I wouldn't be surprised if I see them on the news in a few years.
G-Force Glockstar 01-29-2006, 10:13 PM Yeah, some, for bringing guns and knifes to school.
Polniaczek033 01-29-2006, 10:19 PM a friend of mine, tyler, that graduated a few years ago.. i guess got really wasted and walked into someones house and got into bed with their like 10 year old daughter. he didn't do anything, he just went to sleep. but it was still funny.
Janice 01-29-2006, 10:27 PM One kid I went to school with was killed while holding up a convenience store. I didn't know him personally, but I knew who he was and that he was trouble. I guess I could have put that in the deceased classmates thread.
I also recall a guy a few grades ahead of me who was convicted of rape. It was a date rape thing or something.
EmoJoe 01-29-2006, 10:46 PM i think one kid in my grade was arrested earlier this year for shoplifting. im not sure though
PZelda 01-29-2006, 11:49 PM I live in ND...You know? One of the meth capitals? Rural state + farming state + many chemicals widely available = many meth labs
I am sure that some of my classmates have been busted for meth labs but if they were, I don't give a ****. I hated everybody in my class anyway.
About three months after I graduated from HS, one of the girls in my class got arrested for possession of alcohol AND having minors in the presence of alcohol. The famous "guilty by association" thing, y'know. And like a week before I moved away, this guy in my class got real drunk one night, got into his car and proceeded to drive it INTO a house. Not next to it, but INTO. Yeahhhhh, that was front-page news. The guy was an idiot and I also hated him. Also, apparently one of my classmates does underground porn videos. Doesn't surprise me, because she was the class whore. Whatever else might have happened, I also don't give a ****.
HOWEVER...The fall after I graduated from HS, this one teacher and dorm counselor (both single) I knew got together and they started a meth lab. Everybody that had this teacher alllllll loved her, but I hated that teacher. They eventually got busted for having a lab and the dorm counselor got fired and I think the teacher has been in rehab.
Mr. Television 01-29-2006, 11:59 PM I knew one kid.. he wasn't a friend or even in my grade but he used to hang out with us at luchtime...anyway he got arrested for molesting a little girl. That was still when I was in school. I don't know whatever happened to him.
-In 10th grade, a kid was arrested for robbing a shirt at the local mall.
-In 11th grade, a kid was vandalizing someone's car with other kids and an off duty cop shot one of the kids in the private area.
In 6th grade, my classmate was arrested for doing graffitti on the side of the school.

Yeah, in the fifth grade my best friend Juan, and one of his friends, also got busted for vandalism. A girl in our class saw them doing it, and told the police. They were gone for the rest of the school year after that. Scary thing is, about a week earlier, I was in the back of the school with them, as I was going to help them vandalize the school. Luckily though, a teacher (Mr. Roberts) came out when he suspected something might be up, which halted our plans. If not for him, I probably would have been arrested right along with them.

if only people would realize how true that is. i was in his place a few years ago and seriously contemplated both homicide and suicide.
when i was a freshman some guy got arrested for bringing a gun to school with the intention of shooting two other students. i didn't know who it was, but i knew one of the guys whom he planned to kill.
this guy i'm sort of friends with went to juvi for two months last year for helping to steal a car.
my brother's friend got arrested a few days ago for assaulting two girls. he was also charged a few years ago for vandalizing his parents' car. i don't know what his anger problem is; he's a really nice and funny guy and he liked me last year, but i know he has some pretty messed up parents.
a few weeks ago one of my guy friends was arrested for trespassing.
earlier this year, some fourteen or fifteen year old girl at my school got arrested for stealing a car, crashing it and then lying about her name to the police.
last year i had a friend who was in trouble with the law a lot, only thing i can really recall her doing though is stealing a diamond ring.
i had a friend a few years ago who got arrested a lot for things like shoplifting and slashing tires. she'd already been expelled from almost every school in my area.
that's all i can think of, other than that there have been plenty who have gotten in trouble for things like drug possession.

I'm so sorry to hear you had to deal with that **** in school, I really am. I dealt with it as well, which is the main reason I was put into an alternative school, and a psychiatric hospital in the 8th grade. I use to throw up before going to school everyday, and actually missed over 40 days one year, just so I wouldn't have to worry each day about whether or not I'd be humiliated in one way or another. If only the kids who do this realized just how much that crap really affected people, maybe they'd stop. Of course knowing how so many people are today, I'm not so sure even that would make a difference. :(
Here's some lyrics to one of my favorite songs, Youth Of A Nation, by P.O.D. These lyrics give a clear example of what the result of of this kind of stuff can be:
"Johnny boy always played the fool
He broke all the rules
So you would think he was cool
He was never really one of the guys
No matter how hard he tried
Often thought of suicide
It's kind of hard when you ain't got no friends
He put his life to an end
They might remember him then
You cross the line and there's no turning back
Told the world how he felt
With the sound of a gat"
Karen* 01-30-2006, 02:19 AM A lot of guys got expelled in recent years for bringing drugs and stuff to school.
