A May 9th "50th Anniversary" Release for "The Phil Silvers Show" lists the set as containing a whopping 18 extras! Seems like a record and a damn nice set!

It's a 3 disc set retailing at 39.95 dollars.

I wonder why this isn't going to be a season set. I hate when Paramount does that.

A season set (even according to TSoD) was originally planned, but plans were changed to a "50th Anniversary" release. Still, I'm not complaining, how could you with ALL of those extras? Countless commentary, roasts, interviews, records, intros, the works!

I know, Paramount is one of the best companys in the extras department.:D

Actually, just the opposite, but for the shows they are dedicated to like I LOVE LUCY, they can pull off a damn decent set!

I just contacted Gord and Dave about this error and hope to hear from them soon. When they update me, you guys will of course likewise be updated! DON'T MISS THIS DEAL! How can you beat a 3 disc set selling for only 12 bucks with absurdily great (in both quality and quantity) extras!

now when I go to review my order, the page for this title says

"Availability: THIS TITLE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE. If you would like to purchase this title, we recommend that you occasionally check this page to see if it has become available."

I wonder if I will get the DVD at yesterdays low price? Did anyone else pre-order?

TSoD has informed me that Amazon doesn't normally tend to make mistakes like this and then honor the original order.

The answer is yes, more extras CAN be crammed onto the list.

Add the following two to your lists if you're all keeping score...

Extra 20- LOST pilot episode.

Extra 21- Original Series Openings.

This is the best DVD set PHE has ever pulled off, IMO!
