View Full Version : Which boy/girl do you think... tvtator 01-28-2006, 04:42 PM Which of the boys do you think was closest to Carol? Which of the girls do you think was closest to Mike? Rich3 01-28-2006, 11:53 PM Carol conversed with a naked Bobby while he was in the bathtub. Obviously, he was closest. Mike made Marcia cry in the episode where she was nominating him for world's greatest dad. There must have been more to their relationship than we were shown. erin05 01-29-2006, 03:41 AM [QUOTE=Rich3]Carol conversed with a naked Bobby while he was in the bathtub. Obviously, he was closest.   wat episode was this?!?!?! haha id have ta say i think greg was closest to carol. they always seemed to have converstations about girls n that kinda thing. n wid mike.. jan. he alwwwwwaaaaaasyyyyyyyy was ther for her. :) Rich3 01-29-2006, 08:31 AM I don't remember the bathtub episode, which one it was. But it was in one of the later seasons I believe. I was joking about Bobby being closest, but he would rank second after Greg. Remember when Carol offered to run away with Bobby in the first season? Greg was definitely closest. Tweety 01-29-2006, 12:12 PM That's an interesting question... Excluding moments when BOTH parents had a heart-to-heart with one of the kids, I guess we'd have to go through all of the episodes to find out which parent had the most one-on-one talks with one of their "children in law". Carol did have a one-on-one moment with Bobby when Bobby was going to run away...so that's one point for Carol/Bobby... but her one-on-one with him in the hair tonic episode shouldn't necessarily count, because that dialogue was probably written for Robert Reed, and given to Carol when Reed was dismissed from the episode.. Mike had a one-on-one moment with Jan in the "only child" episode, while working in his den... I'm tempted to go with Mike/Jan, because that scene in the only child episode displayed great, genuine acting on both parts...Jan seemed to shed real tears, and Mike was incredibly understanding and empathetic to Jan's feelings... What are some other great parent/adopted child (one on one) moments that occurred in the Brady Bunch? magellan333 01-29-2006, 12:59 PM I remember Carol and Bobby talking on the stairs one time about people who didn't give up. That is why I would rank the Carol/Bobby relationship closest. I think Mike and Jan would be the case as well. They seemed close in the episode where she had to get glasses. That's true - at the end of that episode, Mike was going to punish Jan for trying to decieve him after she destroyed the first picture...but Mike decided that since she had to sell her bicycle to pay for the new picture, that was punishment enough... another very genuine scene between the two great actors :) Tweety 01-29-2006, 04:40 PM Carol conversed with a naked Bobby while he was in the bathtub. Obviously, he was closest. Mike made Marcia cry in the episode where she was nominating him for world's greatest dad. There must have been more to their relationship than we were shown. Maybe you're thinking of a different show? I don't think anyone ever had a "bathtub" scene in the Brady Bunch... The closest thing might have been when Bobby messed up his clothes (Safety Monitor Episode) and had to do his own laundry while the rest of the family was out...he was walking around in his underwear in that one (he wore briefs) :) I wouldn't have minded seeing Jan take a bath around, say, Season 5... they could have Oliver barge into the bathroom while she's taking a bath...after she throws him out, Mike would come in while she's still covered with suds and say something like, 'well, honey, that happens sometimes when you have a big family'. And Jan would say 'You're right Dad...I'm sorry I yelled at Cousin Oliver...I'll apologize to him as soon as I'm done toweling off". And Mike would way, "Good girl, honey...you sure have matured a lot since last year". Hopefully, this was a deleted scene that will turn up some day, straight from the cutting room floor... I'm keeping my fingers crossed! TV Guy 01-29-2006, 04:50 PM Maybe you're thinking of a different show? I don't think anyone ever had a "bathtub" scene in the Brady Bunch... I think you're forgetting "My Brother's Keeper" from the last season, in which Bobby saves Peter from a falling paint bucket, and Peter vows to be his slave for life. Doused with green paint, Bobby is seen in the tub with Carol right there. And it's not like Bobby was seven years old in the episode, either. Oh, OK...I don't remember that particular scene (probably because I don't want to)...actually, I can kind of picture Bobby covered by the paint, I just didn't remember the actual bathtub scene... (I like my idea of a bathtub scene a lot better!) But thanks for setting the record straight! tvtator 01-29-2006, 06:26 PM Carol conversed with a naked Bobby while he was in the bathtub. LOL, I guess I don't remember Carol talking to Bobby while he was in the tub "Father of the Year" was the best episode. tvtator 01-29-2006, 06:38 PM That's an interesting question... What are some other great parent/adopted child (one on one) moments that occurred in the Brady Bunch? Jan is a good choice especially with the scene you mentioned. I'd have to go with Marcia for Mike and Peter for Carol. Admittedly I can't put my finger on why I pick Peter for Carol. Rich3 01-29-2006, 07:54 PM Carol was like sitting on the edge of the tub while Bobby was in it. I think that was the only bathing scene they ever showed. Vegas Girl 01-29-2006, 09:25 PM Sometimes that bathtub scene is cut out. TV Guy 01-30-2006, 08:52 PM There were only two nude scenes in the five-season of "The Brady Bunch", and it's interesting to note that Bobby was in both of them (the bathtub scene, as well as the no-bathing-suit scene in "Goodbye Alice, Hello"). Rich3 01-30-2006, 10:59 PM Greg and Peter were way too "cool" to have done a nude scene. RIC FLAIR 02-01-2006, 01:46 PM Which of the boys do you think was closest to Carol? Which of the girls do you think was closest to Mike? CAROL=GREG MIKE=JAN. GAVE HER MORE LECTURES THAN ANY OTHER KID sixfingers 02-27-2008, 11:04 PM There were only two nude scenes in the five-season of "The Brady Bunch", and it's interesting to note that Bobby was in both of them (the bathtub scene, as well as the no-bathing-suit scene in "Goodbye Alice, Hello"). I think it should be pointed out that the nudity was implied rather than actual, I doubt that either Susan Olsen or Mike Lookinlad were really wearing nothing underneath those robes, and I would bet anything that in My Brother's Keeper Mike Lookinlad had a swim suit on underneath all those suds! [a close frame-by-frame examination is inconclusive] This is quite a contrast with The Patridge Family where there was a bath scene in which Suzanne Crough's (undeveloped) breast is quite clearly shown! Just imagine that happening with Cindy, or on any show today! I wonder if that has ever been cut in syndication... needles1987 02-28-2008, 01:52 PM I think Bobby was closest to Carol and Jan was closest to Mike.
