This thread was inspired by a post from Hung Up! in the other Michael thread.

I grew up in the early seventies, so the Jackson Five were the ultimate in R&B and Pop groups. I love those songs. They remind me of those days. I also remember loving Michael when he came out with "Off The Wall". Damn, that album was thee album to get! it was and still is an awesome piece of work. I remember him going to Studio 54, dancing around, being shy, hanging out with Tatum O'Neal, and opening the doors to a new sound. Disco was fading out, and here came Michael. Man, I miss that guy. :(

Of course everybody misses the black Michael Jackson hahahahahahahahaha. I used to have a doll of him when i was a kid. The doll i had showed him wearing the outfit he wore to the American Music Awards in the early 80's when he won all those grammys for Thriller album. I used to have a poster of him with E.T. LOL. I also had another poster of him wearing a yellow sweater. I had The Jacksons Triumph album cover poster. I was a Michael fanatic when i was a kid. I used to collect Jackson 5 stickers out of a Corn Flakes cereal box hahahahahahahahahahaha. I got some Jackson 5 albums on cd such as ABC, Maybe Tomorrow, Third Album, Lookin Through The Windows, Moving Violations, Goin Back To Indiana, Dancing Machine. I got The Jacksons Victory and 2300 Jackson Street albums on cd. Only album of The Jacksons i haven't heard is Goin Places. There's a few Jackson 5 albums i haven't heard like Skywriter, Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5, Get It Together but i'm gonna check those out. Not too long ago i got a copy of Motown's 25th anniversary that came out in 1983 just so i could see Michael Jackson's classic performance of Billie Jean song when he moonwalked across the stage and the crowd went wild. I ordered that from Amazon.com. I couldn't believe a website had that on videotape to order.

Bad was the beginning of the end, but it was still a good record, it just coasted a little too much on ego. By Dangerous, it was straight downhill. Dangerous had some great tracks on it but most of it was excessive and boring and his work since has been worse.

He is proof that too much success can damage you in the long run, he let the success of Thriller get in his head and trying to top it became his main priority and his music has suffered since. Michael, at this point, you should aim to top Invincible, because topping Thriller is never gonna happen.

I love the Michael Jackson in this picture. That little kid with the afro was the coolest little kid there was. There are times when I think of that kid and then see what he's grown into and it's amazing to think that they're the same person. I'm not talking physically either. I mean that kid with the talent, the charisma, etc. somewhere along the line disappeared. It's too bad he's too far gone to come back.

I grew up with Michael and I miss the old Michael. I wished he stayed the way he was. One thing I laugh about was the Jackson 5 clothes. I see those clothes now and I think (they had guts... ).

I loved him all the way through until this trial. Then I said to myself. The guy is gone...............

Off the Wall and Thriller were off the hook albums. That kid had some serious talent.

Only in America can a poor black boy grow up to be a rich white woman.

MJ's not a white woman anymore, he went through an Asian woman phase and now he's a Middle Eastern woman.

I grew up listening to The Jackson Five and remember Micheal's solo career at first being great but now he has been nothing but a disappointment.
