the cult classic "bad movie" Sliver, starring Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin will be out on DVD in March, anyone else love this movie?

I never really liked Basic Instinct much, but Sliver instantly became one of my favorite movies after I saw it, I swore I watched it EVERY SINGLE TIME it aired on HBO in the summer of 1994 :lol:

I bought it on LD after having read the book, and I've watched it several times. I didn't know it had cult status, particularly as a "bad movie". I actually like it, but then I'll watch anything starring Sharon Stone.

are you gonna see Basic Instinct II?I haven't heard anything positive about it yet, only that Stone is too old, too much time has passed for a sequel to be of any interest, the plot is too contrived, etc., but, yes, I'm sure I will see it if/when it comes out on DVD. It's not that I like bad movies, but there are some actors and actresses that I find intriguing regardless of the quality or genre of the films or TV shows in which they appear, and I'll see anything they do at least once. Sharon Stone is one of them. I've no idea why.

I agree, 14 years is too long for a sequel, especially since Basic Instinct was a film that relied heavily on the sex appeal of Sharon Stone. Personally, I am glad to see a 48 year old woman taking that type of role, enough with over-40 women in Hollywood playing mothers of the lead or housewives.

Sliver honestly is the only movie I loved of hers, but it's a favorite.
