So far Cosby is in everyone's top 5. I don't love it as much now as I did when it originally aired, but I had to give it its props based on how I liked it back then and put it high on my list.

This is really a show you either love or hate, I guess. And I LOVE it!
SP had the most colorful group of characters, off-beat humor and a
voice all its own. Not to mention great New Wave music and a very young
Jami Gertz as school snob Muffy Tepperman.

I have only been watching FOL for a little over a month but I am hooked
on it. I can't beleive it took me so long to find this wonderful show. It is
funny, touching and very smartly written. And if that isn't enough it has
Nancy McKeon as Jo!

it's the worst half over of television I have ever seen. It's so awful. I saw it once at a hotel at 4 in the morning after being awake almost 24 hours. It was so bad. I decided to give it a second try about a year later though and it was still so terrible and awful.

I am shocked at how vastly unpopular Square Pegs is, outside of me and JamiGertzFan, it's almost been at/near the bottom of nearly every other list. Granted, the main reason I gave it a shot was because I loved Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex and The City and was curious to see her on a TV series nearly twenty years earlier, but I quickly got hooked on the show and loved it on its own merit and wished it'd had lasted a bit longer (remember, Sex didn't premiere until 1998 and Sarah's film career didn't really take off until the early 1990's, Square Pegs could've run a number of seasons without hindering her future accomplishments).

Since it only ran one season, I don't know why Sony won't just release the damn DVD, it's a nice early 1980's time capsule.

I watched Square Pegs when it originally aired - I really liked it and never missed an episode.
It was a fun, humorous show with the 80s stamped all over it.
When you watch it now it almost seems like a show about the 80s made today! (ala That '70s Show).

I would certainly get it on DVD as soon as it came out.

And HU- how could you not include Mr. Belvedere on this list?
Very funny sitcom that lasted for 6 seasons.

well, I only wanted 25 shows and there was nothing on the list I thought could be bumped off in favor of Mr. Belvedere, so it went missing.

I like Square Pegs(watched it when it originally aired) but it's just not one of my favorite 80's shows overall.
