to call the school administrator assistant during the cafeteria protest "an uncle Tom"? It's not something I would hear Thelma say to anyone, really someone in a post at her college. It was just out of character to me, to hear her say that. I would have liked to have seen Flo have a conversation with Thelma for even saying that and getting suspended. With all the talk Flo said abt education, education, education, she allowed this suspension to just go on the back burner. It would have been a good idea to have a scene abt that.

What i didn't understand was why did the Administrator only suspend Thelma when the other guy said something about his mother? The guy yelled loud as hell-"YOUR MOMMA" and Thelma only Whispered-"what do u expect from a Uncle Tom" Odd Scene

He turned around and asked "Who said that?" because he didn't know which guy said it. Although, it was pretty obvious who said it because he was loud and he had a distinctive way of talking. And btw, what is it abt the assistant administrator that made Thelma call him that name?

that guy that yelled Yo Mama, is the same guy from What's Happening in the episode where Raj falls for that older woman, the model.

He played on What's Happening Twice and Welcome Back Kotter several Times. I don't know what could have made Thelma say that

I don't know what the writers were thinking, but if they needed to show Thelma & Ibe interact at college, then so be it, but the Uncle Tom reference, to me, is so out of character for her.

I know this is off topic, but it sure was funny to see the actor who played Will's mom on the Fresh Prince back then!! She still looked the same!!

I could definitely see Michael doing that. Thelma, no.

Yeah, it was out of character for Thelma. I could even see JJ saying something like that, but not Thelma.

It was also ODD that nothing happened to the Black Guy who yelled-"YOUR MOMMA" to the Principal right before Thelma said what she said

Again, he didn't know WHO said it. That is why he turned around and said, "Who said that?" No one was going to admit who said Yo Mama.
