Florida was upset at Thelma for wanting to marry and move to Nigeria with Ibe...understandable.

first: When Flo reminded Thelma abt her past loves she mentioned all kinds of guys names, except Larry and Donald, the two men she was engaged to...??????

second: Thelma told Flo those "loves" were just crushes (something like that), so if those loves were just her being immature, then how was it she was AN ADULT when it came to Larry who came before "those crushes"?

third: Flo was upset at Thelma, rather than wait until the dinner party to ask Ibe abt his potential for having several wives, why not ask the guy right then and there? He is marrying her daughter, she has a right to know IMMEDIATELY what his future plans with her daughter are.

fourth: I find it odd that Flo was upset at THE IDEA OF IBE HAVING MANY WIVES, rather than her MARRYING AND LEAVING for Nigeria. She had no idea abt Ibe's culture. Michael mentioned it in passing, but it wasn't a definite thing. When Willona confronted Flo in the kitchen Flo brought that up (the many wives) not the prospect of Thelma marrying someone she had just barely met.

As a mother, I would have inquired right then and there.
