Brad Russ 01-23-2006, 06:58 AM For anyone who has seen the Champion, you know why this is my least favorite boxing film. It starred the Christian singer Carman, and was an absolute embarrassment to boxing movies. Not only was it the worst boxing movie Iv'e ever seen, but it was one of the worst movies Iv'e ever seen period. The acting was horrible, the storyline was absurd, and the idea of Carman being a world Champion boxer, was a joke. I did enjoy some of the movies music, as corny as it was, but that's the only somewhat positive thing I have to say about this film. If you're looking for a good comedy that's full of laughs, I highly recommend this film, but if you're looking for a serious and exciting drama about boxing, then you should stay far far away from this piece of crap!!
gilligan fanatic 01-23-2006, 11:54 AM Requiem for a Heavy Weight is my all time favorite but Rocky is good too.
Brian Damage 01-23-2006, 11:57 AM Million Dollar Baby was excellent
lockdown06 01-23-2006, 05:42 PM My favorites are Rocky and Undisputed.
Ali was the worst by far.
stella 01-23-2006, 05:59 PM In the poll selections, I'm surprised you didn't have The Champ with Jon Voight.
Dumballa 01-23-2006, 07:29 PM I voted for White Hope because that was just stellar, and really about Jack Johnson. But Rocky is hard ta go against in any catagory. Talk about lightning in a bottle.
Dean Winchester 01-23-2006, 07:50 PM If you're looking for a good comedy that's full of laughs, I highly recommend this film, but if you're looking for a serious and exciting drama about boxing, then you should stay far far away from this piece of crap!!
as somebody who is demented enough to find enjoyment out of really crappy "bad movies" like Manos The Hands Of Fate (I wanna go as Torgo for Halloween), Shanghai Surprise and Pinata: Survival Island, would you recommend it or is it just really lame, and not necessarily campy?
The Best? Rocky 1.
The worst?

I just thought it was hilarious. I was laughing from the gut pretty much all the way through. For the most part I don't recommend it for anyone, but there might be a few people who will find the horribly delivered lines, ridiculous story, and corny music amusing. This movie is a good example of how bad some Christian films can be, if you can even call it that since it didn't have much of a message to it. Fortunately Christian films seem to be getting better though. But anyway, yeah, it's so lame that it's funny, and a few people might get a kick out of it.
Brad Russ 01-24-2006, 02:29 AM For anyone who hasn't yet seen Cinderella Man, you really should. It definitely has the best fighting scenes that Iv'e seen in any boxing movie. A few more viewings, and I may just end up liking this film more than Rocky, it was truly that good!!
Lexx82 01-24-2006, 02:35 AM i really wanna see million dollar baby and cinderella man...so which is better between the 2?
Mr. Television 01-24-2006, 02:48 AM Million Dollar Baby was real good but I'll still go for Rocky.

I thought Cinderella Man was better. They were both great, but Cinderella Man was based on a true story, and was more inspiring, while Million Dollar Baby was really good, but far more depressing. You honestly can't go wrong with either one. You should definitely check them out as soon as you can.
