Thanks alot, Margaret tdf4077 06-16-2006, 09:10 PM My first Jamie Farr autograph is like 10-15 years old, and he's wearing a suit. The address I had is probably the void one. When I met him, he was very nice and gracious. See, the deal was that I live in Toledo, and he and William Christopher were in a production of "The Odd Couple," and my mom wrote to him explaining my love of the show and that I was named after him, and he sent backstage passes. That's how I met him and William Christoper. I had Jamie sign pictures of him in the book where one he's wearing the Mud Hens Jersey (again, since I live in Ohio), and one of the complete cast pictures. I met Gary when he was showing some of his art work! magellan333 06-17-2006, 10:14 AM When I was about 6 years old, a local TV station aired a MASH-a-thon and there was even a local display of some army jeeps and equipment. I daresay this was old outdated equipment still in use by the local National Guard unit. There was also two cast members present to sign autographs. One was Jaime Farr and I can't remember the other. I remember my dad deemed the line to wait in as too long and we went home. Thanks tdf4077 06-18-2006, 11:13 AM Corbin- I didn't ask them to, but they are all personalized except Alan Alda's....most of the cast just seems to be incredibly gracious and willing to sign....I messed up and forgot to include a SASE with Gary's, and he still sent me a personalized postcard! Again, though, I was like 12 and 13 when I wrote them, and I know I mentioned this fact in the letters. Perhaps that had some play? M*A*R*G*A*R*E*T 06-19-2006, 06:40 PM Thanks tdf4077 , I'm going to try Gary Burgoff and Wayne Rogers this week ; maybe I'll get lucky! Thanks again , Margaret |
