When he was attracted to that guy dressed in Drag in the episode-"Stakeout". Fred slid down a couple of spots as one of my Favorite TV characters after watching that episode. I never thought my man Fred could be tricked like that.

Couldn't be no worse than Archie Bunker saving that man's life who was dressed as a woman. Anyway, my worse Fred Sanford was when the japanese wanted to give them all that money for their home and Fred turned them down. That was stupid on Fred's part.

I don't remember this episode.

But I did see the Archie Bunker episode. I remember watching it as a kid and I didn't understand the character who was played by Divine. It was disturbing. Didn't he get injured or killed on the episode?

The episode was called-"Stakeout" and it was about a black man dressed like a woman hiding from the police and rented one of the rooms in Sanford Arms

No it was far from crappy. The cop who stayed with Fred was TOO WILD to put this episode in the Crappy category

Yeah, I'll give you that. His interactions with Fred were funny. However, the rest of ep. was S&S on the downslide - forced dialogue and lousy acting.

It seemed like in season 6 they went back to season 1, when it was just Fred and lamont the entire ep and that's just too DULL for me to watch.

Season 1 was SOOOO Much better to me that the 6th season of S&S. It may even be my favorite season(well, maybe a tie with season 2);) . I loved the eps that just had Fred and Lamont in them, because to me they played off each other really well. Especially that first year when it was just starting out and there was no Esther to trade insults with. It seemed very "raw" and experiemtal in a way, if that makes sense. It was basically a father and son who fought and fought, but who we knew loved and cared about each other. JMO.:)

I agree, the first season was better than the 6th.

Actually, it wasn't DIVINE (although, that would have been SOMETHING!!!!) Beverly was played by actor Lori Shannon. I went on the IMDB site and, other than his AITF episodes, there is NOTHING about him.

Ya that episode Stakeout was 1 silly episode, Especially when fred went to talk to hacker and had the recorder in his shirt, Which shouldve been very easily noticed by hacker. They cant ALL be as great though.

"Life is just a bowl of warm menudo"

"God pulled out the stopper, Stole money from my only son, For these lousy whooper choppers"

"Thats what they do to old eskimoes, They put them on a block of ice and let them float out until they freeze to death", "Your gonna wish you had a block of ice where your going"

Yes it was a remake of the original series that premeired on NBC in June of 1980. On the show, Fred was still in the Junk business, Lamont had moved to Alaska to work on the pipeline and send one of his buddies to help Fred out in the Junk Business. Fred's new Junk Partner was a fat white guy named Cal. Rollo would also help out. Aunt esther made a couple of appearances along with Grady. Esther's husband Woody had passed away and there was no Donna on this show because Fred had a new girlfriend.

Season 6 was better than season 5. Season 5 was the worst.

No way I could compare S1 with S6. I vaguely remember S6, but do remember S1 and enjoyed every episode.
