OK my dilemma is I lent a friend of mine £40 a couple of weeks ago only on the knowing he said he would pay me back that same night as his girlfriend owed him £100 and he would then re-imburse me for the 40 i lent him.
However through the course of the evening he got a text message from his girlfriend saying she couldnt make it to join us hence me not getting my money back that night!
So last week and today i have tried calling his cell and sending txt messages with him and have had zero response. Hes usually pretty slow in replying but after 2 weeks someone the slightest bit of manners would pay up! Hes unemployed at the moment but that aint my problem!!

Is this a bad sign that he is acting like a real NO WAY?

All I can say is to just keep on hounding him for it. I loaned my neighbor $20 a couple years ago and she didn't pay me back when she said she would so I just kept going to her house and bothering her and making a pest of myself. She finally go tired of it and paid me back. I probably would have not gotten my money back otherwise. From then on I quit lending people money.
