Wasn't there an episode where Kevin, Paul, and that other kid go against Becky, Winnie, and Paul's girlfriend in Kevin's daydream?

That was Episode #11, from the second season, I believe. It was entitled "Just Between You and Me" . . . and Kirk and Paul and Carla and Becky." Kevin was going steady with Becky Slater, but he still liked Winnie Cooper. Winnie and her boyfriend Kirk McCray were having problems. Kirk asked Kevin to talk to Winnie for him (not knowing that Kevin himself liked her). Winnie told Kevin that she was going to break up with Kirk. But the next day, Kevin saw Winnie kissing Kirk in the school hallway. (?) Kirk asked Eric Antonio to talk to Winnie, hoping *he* could figure her out, while Kevin asked Paul to talk to Winnie for HIM. But, Paul couldn't talk to her because she was with Eric all day. Meanwhile, Kevin broke up with Becky . . . because he still liked Winnie. When Kevin told Becky he was breaking up with her, she punched him several times, knocking him out. In an illustration of how Kevin "didn't understand girls," we saw Kevin dream that great "Star Trek" parody. In it, Winnie, Carla Healey (Paul's girlfriend) and Becky Slater were mysterious female alien creatures -- as Paul said with a grin, "strange beings with long hair and very short skirts." The guys were in original "Star Trek" uniforms. Kevin was Captain Kirk, Paul was Spock. Eric Antonio and Kirk McCray were "Bones" and "Scotty." Winnie, as the leader of the alien women, simply pressed a button on her wristband which drove all the men to the floor in extreme pain. In the end, Kevin walked over to Winnie's house at night, and saw Eric bringing her home, after skating or something. Kevin asked her what was going on. She said Eric was "just a friend." She also said that she'd broken up with Kirk. But, when asked if she liked *him* (Kevin), all she could say was "I don't know." I'm a classic Trekker, so I just loved this. Fred Savage, young as he was, did an exemplary job depicting Kevin doing Shatner doing Kirk. He had it down perfect. |
