Does anyone belong to Netflix? I have been getting my dvds from them since the beginning of January and I can't believe how many arrive damaged and unplayable. I have been renting the TDVDS and have luck with every other disc. They are cracked, scratched etc. and I have to send it back anf get another. I haven't ordered any movies yet. Anyone else use their services?

I just get a form e-mail saying how they are usually so wonderful and they will replace the damaged disc.

I just wonder if it's not the Post Office. I hope no one reading this is a postal employee, because it isn't going to be flattering.
Here in the Chicagoland area, we too frequently get openned mail, damaged mail, destroyed packages, the wrong mail (I've hand deliverd several checks to people who were waiting for them), etc. And if a package is uninsured, oh well, it's your loss! We've even had our congressman ask for a reprieve from the postage rate hike because our service is so shoddy. It was declined.
Maybe it's not so much Netflix's fault.

It very well could be. They send it in a flimsy paper package and NYC postal services are not very gentle. I was so looking forward to watching The Curse of the Petrie People and the others on that disc (except the ones about Rob running for councilman).

I use Netflix. I think that I agree with Steve that it may be the post office. I've been a member of Netflix for a few years and , until recently, have never received a cracked disk. I've been trying to watch "24" and about every other disk I receive is cracked. I think my postman is just cramming the movies in my little mailbox. They are always cracked in the same place. If you go to your account, and report it damaged, they'll send you another one out that day. I love Netflix!
