This was a very funny series. I was expecting it to be very plain and ordinary but it was very very good.

Hey good for you. I haven't seen it since the 70's but I remember I always enjoyed watching it. Tony Randall was pretty good in everything he starred in.

I got it like a week ago, that is how I could comment on the Sanford Arms. Thanks again Solomon.

I really did enjoy it. I liked seeing Barney Martin from Seinfeld on it too.

yeah, Tony Randall is great. He is great in the Odd Couple, the Doris Day movies and on stage. I got "Tony and Me" by Jack Klugman for my birthday and he sounds like a real nice guy in real life. To bad I never got to meet him. :(

I was looking at the city of Philadelphia during the opening credits of this show and it looked pretty dull back in 1976-lol

I don't think I've seen this show since maybe an '80s cable run on WGN, I think? Sure would be nice to see any of it again--talk about a undeservedly forgotten show!

I have one episode of the show which is a original ABC broadcast with commercials from 1976

Lucky you, Solomon!

Is the show still funny today, when comparing it to the test of time?

I'm not a fan of the show, I'm just a Original Network Airing collector and That's what I ended up with. I found hen receiving the show it was based in my city and the neighborhood featured in the opening credits is the one I live in right now-lol

Well, that's cool! I love talking about opening credits (and have a Yahoo Group called The Opening Credits Squad).

Philly looked kind of DRY in the opening credits because it was shot at night time and downtown philly during those days was kind of plain. Downtown Philly didn't improve until the 90's

I remember reading a TV book in the '70s that asked Brad Savage why the network changeover happened. He stated that ABC only wanted to renew the show for 13 episodes, while CBS offered to do 22/24 episodes, so they went with the CBS offer.
